Summary

  • Law has formed close relationships with Kid, Chopper, Robin, Luffy, and his crew members, showing his loyalty and friendship towards them.
  • Law and Luffy have a strong bond and have collaborated on multiple occasions to take down powerful enemies.
  • Donquixote Rosinante, also known as Corazon, had the most profound impact on Law's life and was his closest friend, despite their initial hostile relationship.

Trafalgar Law is one of the most beloved One Piece characters and his popularity has skyrocketed in the second half of the story, which covers the adventure of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates in the New World. Law became an important character since the events of the Punk Hazard arc, all the way up to Wano, and has played major roles even in the Final Saga.

It is no surprise that the character of Law has had great depth attached to him. Oda has written an incredible character in Law and, over the years, fans have seen everything about his life, from his tragic backstory, to the bonds that he fostered over the years. On his journey to becoming a 3 billion berry pirate, Law also acquired quite a lot of friends as well as acquaintances, and some of them are clearly closer to him than others.

8 Kid

Teamed Up With Law To Beat Big Mom

Eustass Kid

Neither Kid nor Law would only call the other close friend, however, these two characters have aided each other in battle on multiple occasions now. In Sabaody, they collaborated to take down a Pacifista together and, more importantly, in Wano, they joined forces to take down an Emperor of the Sea.

Their relationship can be described to be beneficial for both, but there is no attachment between the two other than that. However, through battle, these two characters certainly have grown close to each other, even if they might not show it. The fact is that Law, at the end of one or, gave one of his Poneglyphs to Kid and this was to show that he respected the fact that Kid aided him in battle greatly. These two characters also partied together at the end of Wano and that, in itself, makes them friends, just as Luffy would put it.

7 Chopper

Both Law And Chopper Are Doctors

One Piece - Tony Tony Chopper Looking Excitedly Up Toward The Camera

Law has grown especially close to the members of the Straw Hat Pirates over the years as he has traveled with them quite a lot. Chopper, the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates, would inevitably end up growing close to Law, given that they shared the same profession.

Chopper and Law have worked together on multiple occasions and the young reindeer certainly finds Law very cool as a pirate as well as a doctor. At the same time, Law also acknowledges Chopper and the incredible work that he does.

6 Nico Robin

Law Shares Her Goal Of Finding The Meaning Of D.

Nico Robin Laughing In Wano

Nico Robin and Law also have a very special relationship. In the Straw Hat Pirates, Law is closest to Robin after Luffy and this is because both of them are looking for the same information. After taking down Doflamingo, Law changed his goals from wanting to avenge Corazon to finding out the true meaning of the checkered fate of the D.

This means Law shares one of Robin's goals as well and these two get along very well because of that. In fact, Robin is also one of the very few people that Law trusted with the information of him being a member of the D Family.

5 Monkey D. Luffy

Allied Pirate Captains

Law and Luffy share a phenomenal relationship that fans have seen budding over the years. Law was the one responsible for saving Luffy after the events of the Paramount War and, in Punk Hazard, Law and Luffy collaborated once again. In Dressrosa, these two pirates fought against Doflamingo and, in Wano, they fought against the Emperors of the Sea together.

Over the years, these two have created a phenomenal team that fans have come to adore. Even though Law might not like to admit it, Luffy is definitely one of his closest friends and Luffy certainly thinks of it that way.

4 Jean Bart

His Pirate Crew Member

Jean Bart was a former slave who was freed during the events of the Sabaody Archipelago Arc and Law immediately took him in his crew. Although Law has shown a deeper relationship with the likes of Luffy on screen, it would be preposterous for the fans to assume that his relationship with other crews runs deeper than with his own.

Law would die for his crew on any day and this was proven when he wanted to sink to the bottom of the ocean with them after Blackbeard destroyed them. Law would die for every single one of them and they would die for Law too. In the case of Jean Bart, Law freed him and took him in when he had nobody to turn to and these two characters certainly grew closer ever since.

3 Satchi and Penguin

Two Of The Earliest Members Of The Heart Pirates

Satchi and penguin one piece

Satchi and Penguin are two of the first few to join the Heart Pirates. On Shallow Island, these two were stopped by Law from attacking Bepo and it is there that they ended up forming a great bond together. They have been with Law for over a decade now and it is no surprise that Law is incredibly close to them.

Even though fans have not seen them interacting much, it is a known fact that two characters would be closest to him.

2 Bepo

Law And Bepo Co-Founded The Heart Pirates

Bepo in One Piece

Bepo is Law's closest aid and the number two of the Heart Pirates. Fans know that Bepo is an incredible navigator and, at the same time, would lay his life down to aid Law. Law would do the same for Bepo as well and these two share a relationship similar to that of Luffy and Chopper, only in this case, Bepo is given much more importance.

Bepo is also the co-founder of the Heart Pirates and this makes him an exceptional member of the pirate crew. Recently, in the fight against the Blackbeard Pirates, it was Bepo who risked his life to save Law from the clutches of the Yonko.

1 Donquixote Rosinante

Rosinante Saved Law's Life

Donquixote Rosinante from One Piece

Out of all the people that Law has known, no one has had more of a profound effect on his life than Donquixote Rosinante. Also known as Corazon, he had a hostile relationship with Law at first, however, after finding out about his true lineage and the fact that he suffered from a very serious illness, he took Law as a hostage in an attempt to find a cure for a boy who had given up on living altogether.

By risking his own life, he successfully cured Law but died in the process. Even though they might have had a relationship of siblings, it goes without saying that Law has never been closer with anyone and has never shared his secrets as he did with Rosinante, which would make him his closest friend over the years.
