Following a long three-year wait, Netflix's live-action One Piece series is finally coming back on March 10, 2026. Picking up where One Piece Season 1 left off, Netflix is renaming the show's second season to One Piece: Into the Grand Line, as the live-action remake begins its adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's Alabasta Saga. Comprised of five story arcs – Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island, and Alabsta itself – One Piece Season 2 will adapt the first four story arcs, leaving the final Alabasta arc for Season 3.

One Piece is returning soon! And here are all the details about the new Elbaph Arc coming this spring!

One Piece: Into the Grand Line will pit the Straw Hats against the mysterious members of Baroque Works, a criminal organization full of bounty hunters who'll give Luffy and his pirates a real challenge as they finally leave East Blue for the dangers of the Grand Line. In anticipation of One Piece Season 2's March 10th release date, the official One Piece Netflix account on Twitter has shared a short teaser of the main cast remaking iconic panels from the One Piece manga.

Netflix Teases One Piece Season 2 With Manga-Accurate Remakes of the Main Cast

The latest One Piece Netflix teaser shows the main cast in their street clothes striking poses right out of the One Piece manga. Iñaki Godoy, who masterfully plays Luffy, throws his arms up into the air and yells against a setting sun. Zoro actor, Mackenyu, walks down a staircase and casually crosses his legs and puts his hands behind his head, just like his iconic character.

Nami's Emily Rudd sits at a table with a map of the Grand Line, before resting her face on her hand with a cheery smile. Usopp's actor, Jacob Gibson, cooly stands in a junkyard with his arms crossed and a huge smile, befitting Syrup Village's local liar. Finally, Taz Skylar's Sanji throws up an amazing high kick that's nearly 1:1 with his manga panel – the only thing missing is a cigarette.

One Piece Season 2 Will Adapt the First Half of the Alabasta Saga in Into the Grand Line

Finally bringing Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates into the Grand Line, One Piece Season 2 will officially adapt the first half of the Alabasta Saga. The Alabasta arc itself is incredibly long, featuring several battles, political tension, and a massive cast that needs at least a full season dedicated to just themselves to really land. One Piece Season 2 will be more than just set-up for Season 3, however, introducing multiple new characters who'll play a major role moving forward while fleshing out One Piece's world.

6 Most Important One Piece Characters (Right Now)

No characters are more important in One Piece right now than these.

One Piece Season 2 will not only introduce the villainous Baroque Works, but future main characters like Tony Tony Chopper, Nico Robin, and Miss Wednesday (who'll go on to play a massive role in One Piece Season 3). By adapting the Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs, One Piece Season 2 will feature even greater world building, character development, and action than the first season's East Blue Saga (which is saying something, considering how good Netflix's adaptation started out).

The Alabasta Saga is a fantastic follow-up to the East Blue Sea, really showing off how dangerous the Grand Line can be and raising the stakes for future seasons. One Piece's world is truly massive and Eiichoro Oda's world-building and early set-up is only going to make later seasons hit all the harder so long as Netflix remains committed to faithfully adapting the manga. One Piece: Into the Grand Line releases exclusive on Netflix for streaming on March 10, 2026.
