One Piece: The Secret Pirate Crew On Egghead, Explained
A mysterious pirate crew will dock on Egghead in One Piece. Which pirate crew could that be?
This only meant great things for the Straw Hat Pirates themselves, and, on Egghead, Oda certainly delivered when it came to great fights for the crew. The Monster Trio, especially, has been at the receiving end of some of the most exciting fights in the Egghead Island arc. Sanji, the cook of the crew, and one of the strongest Yonko Commanders in One Piece, was seen taking on several ordeals and the biggest one that he currently faces is the one against none other than Admiral Kizaru.
The Similarities Between Sanji and Kizaru
Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is an incredibly powerful fighter who has a bounty of 1.032 billion berries on his head. Sanji has trained himself to a level where he can dismantle even the strongest of the Yonko commanders using the strength that he has up his sleeve. When it comes to his fighting style, Sanji utilizes the Black Leg Style, which is something he developed himself while under the tutelage of Zeff. This is a fighting style where he utilizes legs entirely. Sanji does not use his hands in combat and this is down to the fact that he wants to keep his hands only for cooking.
As a result, Sanji’s fighting style is entirely based on kicking. Furthermore, Sanji is heavily dependent on speed in combat. He is quite easily the fastest member of the Straw Hat Pirates and he can move so fast that it appears as if he turned invisible. The level of speed that Sanji possesses is incredible. In fact, he even incorporates his amazing speed into his kicking style. When Sanji first awakened Diable Jambe, he mentioned that his kicks were faster, and, as a result, carried more weight. Sanji equated speed to power once again when he awakened the power of Ifrit Jambe. According to him, his flames burned hotter and, of course, he got faster than before. Due to that, he would hit at faster speeds and, once again, this would mean that they would be stronger kicks as well.
This aspect of Sandy's character is incredibly similar to Kizaru. Fans no Kizaru to be primarily a kick-based fighter. Every single time that Kizatu has engaged in high-level combat, he has been seen making use of kicks and somewhere or form. Fighting against Luffy on Egghead. In this fight, he utilized the power of his kick-fighting style and was seen utilizing his feet in combat on many occasions. Not only is Kizaru focused primarily on utilizing kicks in combat, but he is also a speed-heavy guy. In fact, Kizaru's entire personality relies on his speed. He is the user of the yhr Pika Pika no Mi, which makes him a light human.
Kizaru also believes that speed is power as it adds weight to his kicks and makes them incredibly strong. In fact, when Kizaru was first introduced on Sabaody, he was seen demonstrating his power through mighty kicks which he said hit at light speed and, as not, were almost unblockable. Taking all things into consideration, it is quite easy for the fans to see why Kizaru fighting against Sanji thematically makes sense. These two characters possess a very similar fighting style and It would give fans an opportunity to see them test their skill against each other and try to beat the other one with all that they have.
Sanji Vs Kizaru On Egghead Island
When Kizaru was introduced in One Piece, fans always knew that he would, eventually, end up fighting against Sanji. The fact that at some point in the story, the Straw Hat Pirates would have to fight against the World Government only adds to it. If the Marines attack, then Luffy takes on the strongest World Government individuals, Sanji would have to take down the lower-ranking ones and Kizaru would be the perfect opponent for him. Unsurprisingly, this opportunity came when Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates arrived at Egghead.
As soon as that happened, fans found out that a Navy siege was to be laid on the island, and this siege was led by Admiral Kizaru. Saint Saturn was also revealed to be on the island later and, given that he is the strongest villain on the island, it is beyond any doubt that he is going to be fighting against Luffy. Meanwhile, Zoro was seen in combat against Rob Lucci, who fans know is a very powerful individual, now with an awakened devil fruit. This leaves Kizaru behind and there is no other person competent enough to take him on in combat other than Sanji. In fact, Oda has already set up the basis for the fight between Sanji and Kizaru.
In the latest One Piece chapter, that is, One Piece 1105, Bonney, Vegapunk, and Franky, were seen going back to the Labophase. Essentially, this means that the only ones who are going to be engaging in combat on the lower surface are going to be Luffy and Sanji and they are going to be up against Saturn and Kizaru. Sanji has also vowed that he is going to protect Vegapunk with his life. The one gunning for Vegapunk right now is none other than Admiral Kizaru.
The Winner Of Sanji Vs Kizaru
Now that it has been established that Sanji versus Kizaru is a fight that is going to happen in One Piece very soon, fans might wonder as to who the stronger one between these two characters is. At the moment, it goes without saying that Kizaru is the stronger one of the two. He possesses a bounty of 3 billion berries, and, at the same time, he has an overpowered Devil Fruit, and also very strong Haki.
Kizaru recently fought Luffy in his Gear 5 and did very well. There is no denying the fact that he's one of the strongest characters in the entire series. Sanji on the other hand, has a lot of potential, however, there is still a lot of room for him to grow. However, as fans know, the true form of power can only be brought force in the face of danger. This is going to be a difficult fight for Sanji, however, it is one that he needs to grow to the next level. Furthermore, it must also be remembered that Kizeru already took some damage in his fight against Luffy and he should still be carrying that. As a result, provided that Sanji takes his powers to the next level, he should be the one defeating Kizaru and opening up a path for the Straw Hat Pirates to escape.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1105, is set to be January 28, 2024.
