The Elbaf Arc holds tremendous importance in the Final Saga of One Piece. This arc is the first big arc in the Final Saga, and is one that has been set up in the story over two decades ago. In fact, the first mention of Elbaf came before even Wano Country, which just goes to show how long ago Oda started planning for this arc. Elbaf is going to be big for many characters in One Piece. Of course, some characters often tend to get more attention than others, and there is absolutely no denying the fact that Oda has his own favorites, even within the Straw Hat Pirates as well.
One Piece: Elbaf's Yggdrasil And Ragnarok, Explained
Elbaf is heavily based on Norse mythology. Hence, the Yggdrasil tree and Ragnarok will be relevant during this One Piece arc.
Clearly, among the Straw Hats, Oda often tends to favor the East Blue Five, and even among them, Sanji is one of his absolute favorites. This is evident from the fact that Sanji has received absolutely stellar treatment from Oda, especially in the post-time skip of One Piece. All that taken into consideration gives fans the idea that Sanji will be developed even further as a character in Elbaf, but, at the same time, his strength will improve further in many ways.
Sanji's Current Strengths and Shortcomings
- Sanji Is An Elite Pirate In The New World
- Sanji Is Not On Admiral Level Yet
Sanji is an incredibly powerful fighter in the Straw Hat Pirates. Currently, he's the third strongest individual in the crew, behind Luffy, and just about neck and neck with Zoro. These three are collectively known as the Monster Trio, while Zoro and Sanji together are known as the Wings of the Pirate King. Of course, Sanji has a standard to maintain, which means that he cannot afford to lag behind the others or stop improving his level of strength. Luffy is far from being the Pirate King right now, which essentially means that all the members of the crew have to strengthen themselves even further in order to face the threats that are to come in the upcoming few chapters of the story.
Now fly, you sick human! – Sanji
Of course, this applies to Sanji as well. Fans saw Sanji reach unprecedented levels of power in the Wano Country arc. There, his scientific mutations finally kicked in, and Sanji developed an exoskeleton, gained more muscle mass, and essentially became as strong as a top Yonko Commander, if not stronger. At the same time, fans saw Sanji dismantle Queen without even tapping into his true strength. With just a couple of kicks, Sanji got rid of Queen, and that was a true testament to the level of strength that he had reached. Sanji also showcased his incredible power in Egghead, where he clashed with many powerful fighters, such as the Seraphim of Jinbe, S-Shark, and at the same time, Kizaru as well.
Sanji showcased tremendous strength in all his clashes across Egghead, even going as far as to blitz and injure V. Nusjuro, one of the Elders. Fans know for a fact that Sanji holds a great level of strength up his sleeve, but he still has his limitations. Right now, Sanji has all the tools that he needs to be an incredibly powerful fighter. But, at the same time, it must be remembered that he isn't at his peak yet. His Haki can be improved further, and at the same time, his scientific mutations can take effect even more, which means that Sanji, strong as he is, is an unfinished product right now.
How Elbaf Will Allow Sanji to Power Up Even Further
Elbaf Will Give Sanji Bigger Challenges To Conquer
The Elbaf Arc is going to be absolutely massive for the Strawhat Pirates. If the beginning in the fake Elbaf is to be taken into consideration, then, it's clear that Oda has special plans for the East Blue 5 in this arc. Of course, Sanji is a key part of that group, and fans know that regardless, Oda will give him special attention, because he absolutely loves this character. Sanji will continue to develop as a character in the Elbaf Arc, which shouldn't surprise any fan. But, when it comes to strength, fans should expect a similar display.
For the crime of hurting my loved one, you're sentenced to death! – Sanji
Elbaf is going to be a major arc, which means that there will be confrontations in this story arc for the Strawhat Pirates, and that they will have to showcase a new level of strength that has never been seen before. This doesn't just apply to Sanji, but to every other member of the crew. There could be various threats that the Straw Hat Pirates will face in Elbaf. For instance, fans know that some in Elbaf are inspired by Gods from Norse mythology. Some of them, such as Loki, have already been namedropped in the series. Others could be making their appearance as soon. There is absolutely no telling whether these characters will be allies of Luffy and the crew or enemies.
Even if they are not enemies, a confrontation could still potentially happen, and if that were to be the case, then Sanji would most likely take up arms against one of them and use this opportunity to strengthen himself even further, both in terms of Haki and scientific prowess.
One Piece: Zoro's Big Elbaf Power-Up, Explained
Zoro is one of the most powerful Straw Hats. Oda has plans for him in One Piece's Elbaf to get even stronger.
That certainly isn't all. Elbaf could also see the Strawhat Pirates clash with the Red Hair Pirates. This could be the arc where Luffy and Shanks meet and eventually go on to fight. Fans could also see Zoro fight against some powerful enemy, such as Ben Beckman, or, perhaps even Mihawk later down the line, provided if Elbaf is a long enough arc and sees involvement of multiple powerful characters, such as those of the Cross Guild. Regardless, Sanji could be set up in an exciting combat against the likes of Lucky Roux, who fans know to be an incredibly powerful member of the Red Hair Pirates and one of their core officers. If Zoro doesn't fight Ben Beckman, then, it is possible Sanji will be the one to take him on in combat and that would certainly make for an exciting battle as well.
Furthermore, if the Cross Guild gets involved, then, an exciting battle against the likes of Sir Crocodile could also be on the cards for Sanji, and it would certainly set the world a light. Fans need to realize that Sanji has a lot of exciting potential fights to fight in the future of One Piece, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see him take on these powerful enemies.
Sanji's Level Of Strength After Elbaf Will Be Astonishing
Sanji Will Finally Be Admiral Level After Elbaf
As for Sanji's level of strength after the Elbaf Arc, fans know that he is going to reach a very high level. Right now, Sanji has shown that he can defeat any Yonko commander, but, at the same time, he's not quite at the level of an Admiral yet. Even if he was able to surprise Kizaru, he's not as strong as him. As such, if he actually manages to defeat the powerful enemies that he will face in Elbaf, then, Sanji will surely be close to the level of an Admiral and potentially be strong enough to face and defeat them in combat.
