The world of One Piece is surprisingly fashionable, as author Eiichiro Oda has proved over and over that he is a stylistic designer who can create unique and stunning attires for his characters. One Piece: Luffy's Best Outfits, Ranked
Fans have seen Luffy rock a variety of cool and even wacky outfits throughout the One Piece manga and anime, and these are the most iconic ones.
As the brilliant archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates, Robin is quite an elegant and wise woman who can often be seen wearing fascinating outfits that either reflect her personality or allow her to disguise herself to infiltrate enemy territory. Oda has designed many of them, but the following eight are her absolute best.
8 Geisha Outfit
Blending In Has Never Been Easier
- Worn In: Wano Country Arc (Act 1)
When half of the Straw Hat Pirates arrived earlier at Wano, they needed to blend into the culture of this isolated country. Playing to her strengths, Robin disguised herself as a geisha to get closer to Kurozumi Orochi and gather important information for her allies.
Robin’s geisha attire not only looks absolutely beautiful, but it’s also quite practical since it lets her seamlessly blend in with the other geisha of the palace. Every part of this outfit works well, but the highlight is definitely her kimono, which is brimming with details that fit with Robin’s general style.
7 Film: Gold (Second Outfit)
She Is Ready To Gamble, With Style
- Worn In: One Piece Film: Gold
At the beginning of One Piece Film: Gold, the Straw Hat Pirates arrive at Gran Tesoro, a large entertainment city filled to the brim with casinos. So, they all immediately dress up for their luxurious vacation, including Robin, and her outfit is undoubtedly one of the best ones in the entire crew.
One Piece: 15 Anime Arcs You Can Skip
With over 1,100 episodes, there have been many filler arcs in One Piece. For those catching up, here are the arcs that can be skipped.
Robin doesn’t usually dress in white, but this color looks surprisingly good on her. Coupled with her shiny blue scar, the glasses she rarely wears, and her lovely new hairstyle, she totally looks like a fancy gambler, when she’s actually one of the most wanted pirates in the world.
6 Thriller Bark Outfit
A Gothic Outfit For A Story Arc With A Gothic Setting
- Worn In: Thriller Bark Arc
The Thriller Bark Arc was the first One Piece story arc in which Nico Robin was 100% an official member of the Straw Hat Pirates, so she shined in more ways than one throughout the adventure. The clothes she wears during this horror-themed arc are a favorite among fans.
Thriller Bark is a location with a creepy atmosphere, so Robin’s almost gothic-looking outfit fits perfectly into the setting: the purple dress with embroidered edges is very pretty, but the wonderful combination of her net stockings and her black boots is what cemented this attire as one of the most memorable in the entire series.
5 Strong World (Second Outfit)
Cozy But Intellectual
- Worn In: One Piece Film: Strong World
When Franky, Brook, and Robin explored Merville at the beginning of One Piece Film: Strong World, the archaeologist could be seen wearing a very particular outfit that doesn’t really fit her usual style, but she still managed to pull it off.
The striped green & white sweater looks comfortable and fashionable, and many One Piece fans have claimed that they want a real-life version of this garb. Thanks to this, the ponytail, and the glasses, Robin looks extremely friendly & wise when wearing this attire, which is quite ironic, considering that she was actually exploring a floating island brimming with deadly animals.
4 Dressrosa Outfit
So Simple And So Effective
- Worn In: Dressrosa Arc
As previously stated, Nico Robin is an elegant woman who can often be seen wearing complex outfits. This means that, whenever she dresses up in something simpler, it really stands out. The clothes she wore during the Dressrosa Arc are some of her best: they may be simple, but she pulled them off extremely well.
For starters, her black low-cut dress is one of those pieces of clothing that fits perfectly with Robin’s mysterious style, but the white hat is quite unusual for her, yet it helps make this look all the more memorable. However, the entire outfit looks even better when she pulls down her glasses at one point during the arc. This appearance led many fans to claim that Robin should wear silly hats like this one more often.
3 Raid On Onigashima Outfit
Looks Like The Powerful Combatant She Is
- Worn In: Wano Country Arc (Act 3)
Just like all of her crewmates, Robin received one of her best outfits during the Raid on Onigashima that takes place in the Wano Country Arc. Her white dress with flower patterns, combined with the classic One Piece trope of wearing a cloak as if it was a cape, makes her look both elegant and intimidating at the same time.
8 Strangest Animal Species In One Piece
One Piece features a variety of unique characters and animals, and these are the strangest amongst animals.
This is an outfit that is brimming with Japanese culture but still has its own unique One Piece touch. It was important for Robin to wear something distinctive in this raid, as she fought Black Maria during it, which was her first one-on-one fight in almost 20 years. This helped cement this attire as one of her most recognizable ones yet.
2 Miss All Sunday Outfit
Back When She Was A Villain, And She Also Looked Like One
- Worn In: Whiskey Peak Arc & Arabasta Arc
It’s important to remember that Robin was one of many One Piece characters who were initially introduced as an antagonist. So, back when she was a Baroque Works agent with the code name of Miss All Sunday, she used to wear this amazing cowboy outfit that immediately made her a standout among fans.
The initial version of this attire, with the adorned miniskirt and the fancy hat, already looked great on her. But when she later wore a bulky & white fur coat on top of it, Miss All Sunday truly looked like an intimidating villain/assassin. This was all a ruse, of course, as Robin was actually a good person who would later join the Straw Hat Pirates. After the time-skip, she stopped wearing cowboy hats, and most fans believe that she should have kept using them as a tradition.
1 Enies Lobby Outfit
Robin’s Most Iconic Attire, That She Wore During Her Most Important Scene
- Worn In: Enies Lobby Arc
Robin has obviously worn multiple fashionable and memorable attires throughout the series, but the outfit she wore during the legendary Enies Lobby Arc perfectly reflects the most prominent aspects of her character: It’s elegant, and it’s mysterious, but it’s also surprisingly endearing.
On one hand, the excellent black leather jacket & the elegant high-heeled boots may make her seem intimidating at first, but the pretty white polka-dotted underdress also illustrates how kind and innocent she can be. To top it all off, these are the clothes that Robin was wearing during the iconic “I want to live!” Scene, which is one of the absolute best moments in all of One Piece. Anything that Robin was wearing during that scene would’ve become an instant fan favorite, so it’s a good thing it was an outfit as excellent as this one.
