The Accursed Prince of Elbaf, Loki, is quite easily one of the strongest characters to have ever been introduced in One Piece. Loki was first mentioned in the Whole Cake Island arc of the story, where Oda teased him as the betrothed of Lola.

The Elbaf arc then went on to throw a lot of focus on Loki, and it was revealed that he is a monster with tremendous strength. Ever since the Elbaf arc began, Oda has hyped up Loki to be one of the strongest in the entire world, with tremendous powers ranging from a strong Devil Fruit, to a mighty weapon, and overwhelmingly powerful Haki. Loki has refined his usage of all his incredible abilities over the years, and it goes without saying that he is a calamity the likes of which only a handful can handle in battle.

Loki Has A Mythical Zoan Dragon Devil Fruit

The Power Of Elbaf's National Treasure

Quite easily, the biggest and most incredible ability that Loki holds up his sleeve is the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf. This Devil Fruit was first mentioned at the beginning of the arc, where it was revealed that after the death of King Harald, Loki went on to steal the National Treasure of the country and consume it. This Devil Fruit was passed down the royal family lineage for centuries, but no one was able to consume it. In the Elbaf flashback, it was finally revealed that the reason why no one was able to consume this Devil Fruit was because they were not able to get past Ragnir, the legendary hammer guarding it, or earn its acknowledgement. Loki, on the other hand, managed to do just that and, by defeating Ragnir and earning its acknowledgement, he went on to consume this Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit.

In One Piece chapter 1174, Loki's Devil Fruit ability was finally unveiled to all readers of the manga. Quite clearly, his Devil Fruit allows him to transform into a giant black dragon that dwarfs entire cities. Loki's dragon ability is most likely the Nidhogg from Norse mythology. This dragon allows Loki to manipulate lightning and, potentially, even spit fire, as is usually the case with Western dragons. When it comes to the overall offensive and defensive abilities of the dragon, it is highly likely that Loki bears the same impenetrable skin that Kaido did.

More than that, Loki seems to be much bigger in size and, overall, likely possesses more potent firepower. Loki being the lightning dragon means that he can manipulate lightning and, at the same time, cause fire as well. Given the Mythical Zoan nature of this Devil Fruit, Loki can transform into a dragon completely, or he can switch to a hybrid between his human and the dragon form. Loki's hybrid form is surely to be his strongest, given that it gives him more mobility, as well as all the powers of his dragon form.

Loki Wields The Powerful Ragnir

The Legendary Hammer With The Ratatoskr Devil Fruit

On top of having an overpowered dragon Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, Loki also has the power of Ragnir. As stated previously, Ragnir is a legendary hammer that ate a squirrel Devil Fruit, likely the Mythical Zoan Ratatoskr from Norse mythology. This hammer is so powerful that only the worthy can lift it. In fact, the hammer has been able to hold out individuals like Harald and even the likes of Jorul and Jarul, who were said to be the strongest in the world 300 years ago, keeping everyone but Loki from eating it.

During Loki's clash with the hammer, it was quite clear to see that it was capable of fighting Yonko-tier fighters. Now, this hammer belongs to Loki, and with it, he was able to channel the powers of ice in the Underworld of Elbaf, using techniques like Niflheim. Loki can freeze just about anything in an instant, as well as deliver crushing blows, especially when infused with strong Haki.

Loki can also channel his Devil Fruit powers through the hammer, as was seen when he brought down a lightning strike from the sky to start a huge fire earlier in the Elbaf arc. This gives Loki control over fire, lightning, and ice, which makes this hammer a valuable asset.

Finally, I'm free! Let's do it, Ragnir. Let's show everyone our power. — Loki

Loki Has Advanced Conqueror's Haki

  • On top of the weapons and Devil Fruit abilities that Loki has, he is also a very powerful user of Conqueror's Haki. Loki most certainly utilizes all three types of Haki, but his strongest form is quite easily Conqueror's Haki. At some point in his life, Loki learned to utilize the advanced application of Conqueror's Haki, and by coating his body as well as his weapon Ragnir in this power, he is able to put out far more damage to his enemies. In fact, Loki managed to take down King Harald by coating Ragnir in his strong Conqueror's Haki and delivering a strong finishing blow. It is unclear as to how strong Loki's Conqueror's Haki is, but at this point in the story, it can be said that he is easily one of the strongest users of this power, rivaling the likes of Shanks.

Loki's Ancient Giant Blood Makes Him Strong

Often, fans tend to overlook the fact that Loki is a Giant. Being a giant alone gives Loki more strength than the average human in the One Piece world, but on top of that, it must also be remembered that Loki is from a special lineage of Giants that carry the blood of the Ancient Giants. His horns are a direct signifier of this fact, and Loki is much bigger and stronger than an average giant of the One Piece world as well. This special lineage is what has made Loki a Conqueror as well, and it further adds to his incredible overall powers.

Loki is far tougher, resilient, and durable, as well as stronger than an average Giant. In fact, a newborn Loki survived a fall from the Sun World of Elbaf all the way to the Underground and sustained only small bruises. This level of durability was showcased by Yonko Kaido, and for a baby to have such powers is truly terrifying.

Loki Is Among The Strongest Characters In The World

He Is Stronger Than A Yonko

loki Stronger Yonko one piece

Taking everything into consideration that Oda has revealed about Loki, it is quite clear to see that Loki is among the strongest characters in the One Piece world. In fact, One Piece Chapter 1174 directly refers to Loki as the strongest thing in the world. Of course, there are exceptions, such as Imu, who some would consider to not be part of the world, given that they rule from the shadows.

At the same time, it must also be remembered that Shanks was able to defeat Loki 6 years ago. Other than these two anomalies, Loki is quite easily the strongest character in the One Piece world, dwarfing even the likes of Luffy and the former Yonko, such as Big Mom and Kaido, in terms of power. If anything, his 2.6 billion berry bounty is not a true reflection of the power he wields, and such a monster deserves a bounty closer to five billion, if not higher.
