Bandai Namco has recently confirmed that One Piece Odyssey will be released for the Nintendo Switch on July 26. The upcoming Switch port will be the complete edition of One Piece Odyssey, coming with previously released DLC, as well as new outfits.

One Piece Odyssey was originally released in January 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Developed by ILCA and published by Bandai Namco, the game is an RPG in which the players control Monkey D. Luffy as well as the other Straw Hat Pirates in turn-based combat. The story focuses on the exploration of the mysterious Waford Island, a fallen sky island on which the heroes become stranded after a storm.

Now, Bandai Namco has unveiled an official trailer for the release of One Piece Odyssey: Deluxe Edition on Switch. The new edition will be available on July 26, and it will come with the “Reunion of Memories” DLC, which is accessible after players finish the main storyline. This new release will also have unique City of Water outfits, which were not available in previous versions of the game. One Piece Odyssey takes around 30 hours to beat, while the DLC lasts for around 10 hours, so new gamers will have a significant playtime when playing this RPG.

When Will One Piece Odyssey Be Available for Nintendo Switch?

  • One Piece Odyssey will be released for Nintendo Switch on July 26.

One Piece Odyssey is considered one of the best One Piece games. Not only were the game’s exploration and combat praised in many reviews, but the title’s storyline uses a clever mixture of a completely new plot with some of the most memorable moments of the franchise. In the game, the Straw Hat Pirates lose their powers soon after reaching Waford Island, and need to remember their greatest moments to regain their skills. So, One Piece Odyssey strikes a pretty good balance between nostalgia and new plots and characters, being a pretty good pick for both longtime and brand-new fans of the franchise alike.

While gamers who purchase the Switch version of One Piece Odyssey will be playing the ultimate version of the game content-wise, it’s also important to remember that Switch ports often come with hardware limitations. The Switch is an older, less powerful platform than current-gen consoles, so gamers should expect performance on par with the PS4’s release of the game. Fortunately, gamers have seen many excellent Switch ports in recent years, so the game will likely be well-optimized.
