It’s only recently that fans discovered the name Rocks D. Xebec is fake to conceal his identity. In reality, Xebec’s name isn’t Rocks D. Xebec, but Davy D. Xebec, making him a direct descendant of Davy D. Jones, the man he worshipped. This also means that Blackbeard’s real name is Davy D. Teach. The Davy D. Clan is powerful, so much so that they are the most hunted by the World Government. The will of Davy Jones is a huge risk for Imu, for reasons that are still unknown.

While the Davy D are a powerful clan, there is one other D clan that could be on their level, or even stronger, and that is the clan of Joy Boy. Joy Boy, just like Davy D. Jones, lived during the Void Century, 800 years ago, and was definitely a part of the D, but his real name, for now, is a mystery.

Joy Boy has descendants somewhere in the One Piece world, just like Davy D., and their power should be able to rival the rest. Oda might even be hinting at Shanks and Shamrock being direct descendants through their mother, which would make for quite an interesting plot point when unraveled.

One Piece Chapter 1160 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
