This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf arc.
One Piece chapter 1163 left the fans absolutely stunned with its final page, as the rather short-lived battle between Rocks D. Xebec and Saint Imu concluded. When the God Valley Incident finally began in the Loki flashback, fans knew it would end tragically for Rocks D. Xebec one way or another, as his death was already confirmed long ago in this part of the story. However, back then, no fan could quite have predicted the ease with which Rocks would go on to fall.
It's True: Oda Had Another User For Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika In One Piece
Luffy isn't the only user of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika; Oda had huge plans for him in a One Piece movie.
In doing so, Oda has not only shocked the fans completely, but he's also officially confirmed the strongest One Piece character of all time, at least so far. If there was any doubt at this point, One Piece's strongest character is Saint Imu Nerona, the secret sovereign of the world and the ruler of the World Government. In One Piece chapter 1163, Imu fought against the collaboration of Rocks, Roger, Whitebeard, Garp, Linlin, and Kaido, and still didn't take any damage. On top of that, they managed to turn Rocks into their own slave by using Domi Reversi on him, ending the battle in just a single strike. Now, there is no doubt that One Piece's strongest character is none other than Saint Imu Nerona.
Saint Imu Nerona Is Officially One Piece's Strongest Character
Imu Demolished Rocks In Combat
- Rocks's team was not able to stop Imu
- Imu turned Rocks into his slave
Before One Piece chapter 1163, quite a number of fans believed that the top-tier pirates were in contention to be the strongest characters in the One Piece world. Some argued for Rocks, while others believed that either Whitebeard or Roger was the strongest. The truth is that no pirate in the world comes close to Imu.
What might that be? If I had to put it simply, I'd say that's the world itself! — Rocks D. Xebec on Imu
It's Confirmed: One Piece Could Be Repeating Naruto's Biggest Mistake In The Final Saga
Naruto made a huge mistake in its final arc, and Oda might be repeating this in One Piece.
As an immortal entity, nobody can stop this monstrous being. Rocks was an elite pirate who beat an Admiral of the Navy with ease, and even beat Garling Figarland, yet he couldn't do anything against Imu. In One Piece chapter 1163, Rocks cut up Imu in several parts, but none of it was enough to put an end to them. Imu casually brushed it off and skewered rocks with two appendages and turned him into their slave using Domi Reversi.
Roger and Whitebeard would also have lost with a single blow from Imu, and that goes to show that nobody comes even close to them in terms of overall power.
Mu shall do nothing. Thou shalt kill your wife and child. — Imu to Rocks D. Xebec
Saint Imu Is Unbeatable Right Now
Even Luffy Can't Beat Him At The Moment
Right now in One Piece, Saint Imu is simply unbeatable. If Rocks couldn't beat Imu, no force on the seas can. The only one who could beat Imu and make him tremble was Joy Boy, and he's long dead. Luffy's Haki is nowhere close to Joy Boy's level, and no matter what he does, he cannot compare to Imu at the moment.
Given how things are shaping up, it's hard to see Elbaf leading to anything other than a disaster for Luffy. For the first time since the timeskip, fans might well see Luffy lose a battle, and that's truly terrifying to think about. At the same time, however, this also raises the stakes of this arc of One Piece once the Loki flashback ends. Fans can only hope Oda has more surprises and exciting twists and turns planned for the fans in the future.
One Piece's next chapter will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on October 26. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
