Devil Fruits are mystical fruits that grant those who eat them unimaginable power. They were introduced at the very beginning of One Piece, and there are still plenty that are yet to be introduced. A Devil Fruit can belong to one of three categories: either they are a Paramecia, Logia, or Zoan type of Devil Fruit. Over the years, Oda has revealed numerous insane fruits that have great potential, deemed by many a threat.
Among all Devil Fruits, Logia have the most powerful abilities. Logia fruits grant the ability to turn the user into their particular element, which makes them immune to almost all attacks, aside from Haki-based ones. When it comes to Logia Devil Fruits, the Yami Yami no Mi makes every other fruit look weak. This isn't an exaggeration, as it has some of the most overpowered abilities, which makes it a massive threat.
One Piece: Oda Reveals The Most Destructive Devil Fruit In The World
There are many powerful Devil Fruits in One Piece. This one, however, is the most destructive.
Blackbeard Holds The Power Of Yami Yami no Mi
It Has Unique Powers
Blackbeard is the wielder of the Yami Yami no Mi, which he got by murdering the Fourth Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, Thatch. Its ability makes it unique and terrifying at the same time. The power of this fruit is that it nullifies all Devil Fruit abilities and attacks when its darkness touches them. Furthermore, whoever Blackbeard touches physically loses his Devil Fruit ability for as long as contact is maintained. This ability was revealed when Ace fought him, and later, when Luffy, who has a rubber body, took damage when Blackbeard smashed his body on the floor. It is an overpowered ability, but it has its downsides, the biggest of which is that the user can't make the body tangible like other Logia Devil Fruits. The user can get hurt even with non-Haki attacks, which is a big weakness when fighting a battle against a strong opponent.
Blackbeard overcame this fruit's weakness, as he is physically more powerful and durable than most. He took damage from Ace's powerful attacks and also Whitebeard's quake head-on with little to no injury. Even with such a Devil Fruit, it pales in comparison when it is faced off against one particular Devil Fruit, which is said to be more destructive than Yami Yami no Mi. It is, in fact, Magu Magu no Mi, which is wielded by none other than Fleet Admiral Akainu.
Magu Magu no Mi Is The Strongest Of The Logia Devil Fruits
Power To Destroy Anything
While the Yami Yami no Mi is the most terrifying Devil Fruit, its offensive power isn't that high. In terms of offensive power, the Magu Magu no Mi is the strongest among the Logia Devil Fruits, as was revealed in the Vivre Card. This Devil Fruit allows Akainu to create and control magma, which is a very destructive substance that can easily change the tides of battle. In the Vivre Card, it is stated that Akainu's Devil Fruit, Magu Magu no Mi, boasts the highest offensive capability of any Devil Fruit.
This statement is backed by the actions of Akainu that he did during the war of Marineford. He became the greatest threat to the Whitebeard Pirates and their allies. He dealt so much damage that the Whitebeard Pirates were getting slaughtered by his attacks. It was with the help of their captain that the Whitebeard Pirates were able to survive. A true testament to the power of this Devil Fruit is that it was one of the main things Sengoku used in order to win the Paramount War.
The Magu Magu no Mi Has The Greatest Offense
Caused Major Destruction Of Marineford
The offensive abilities of the Magu Magu no Mi were first seen during the Marineford War, where Akainu used his first ability, Ryusei Kazan — a large space attack that engulfs everything in its path. Large fists rain down on the enemies, causing destruction on a large scale, enough to destroy even the Moby Dick with a single hit. It is truly a terrifying thing to witness, and it doesn't end there, as in a normal fight, this fruit's powers become even more effective. With the Magu Magu no Mi, Akainu was able to fight against Whitebeard himself.
One Piece: Every Devil Fruit With Special Importance
Not every devil fruit is created equally. Some hold special importance in One Piece.
He even melted half of Whitebeard's face with one hit and was able to overpower Ace's Devil Fruit ability with his own. Moreover, he pursued Luffy throughout Marineford, and it took all the division commanders of the Whitebeard Pirates, Jinbe, and other allies to stop him from killing Luffy. One could say he was a force of nature that couldn't be stopped, and all this was because of his Devil Fruit, Magu Magu no Mi, which made him such a powerhouse. His ability also earned him the rank of Fleet Admiral. The Magu Magu no Mi is truly a remarkable Devil Fruit that has proven itself to be one of the strongest in the entire series.
