Only the absolute strongest characters in One Piece can go up against the Yonko and hope to hold their own. That said, there are a select few in the One Piece world that are known to possess strength surpassing even the Yonko. The Pirate King, Gol D. Roger was certainly one of them, as was Whitebeard. Fans also know that Rocks was a legend among legends, but now, Oda has revealed yet another character who can comfortably rank above the Yonko, and that is none other than King Harald of Elbaf.

When Harald was first introduced in One Piece, fans weren't too sure about how strong he was. Then, once the Rocks flashback began, it was quite clear to see that Harald was somewhat comparable to Rocks. When the two met first in Marijoa, they clashed and it led to everyone in a 5 km radius being blown away, which is staggering.

Still, this was just a clash and fans didn't exactly know how strong he was. But, in One Piece chapter 1158, Oda cleared all doubts once and for all, as he finally showed a fight between Harald and Rocks. In this fight, it was clear to see that Harald was exactly equal to Rocks D. Xebec in power. In this battle, Harald managed to knock out Rocks, while Rocks did the same to him. He is canonically on Rocks's level, which means he's stronger than most Yonko in One Piece.

Rocks Is Portrayed To Be Stronger Than Whitebeard

Harald being on the same level as Whitebeard has massive implications for the plot of One Piece. Most importantly, it simply tells the fans that Harald is actually potentially stronger than even Whitebeard. In Wano, Oda stated that Roger's biggest adversary was none other than Rocks, even bigger than Whitebeard. Now, fans know that Harald is equal to Rocks, so it is quite clear that Harald is potentially even stronger than Whitebeard.

He could even be stronger than Roger, given that Roger and Whitebeard are canonically equal in power too. Then again, there's a big chance that both Roger and Whitebeard were far from their peaks at this point in time, and that they went on to get stronger, reaching the same level as Harald and Rocks. Nonetheless, Oda has officially introduced a new character stronger than the Yonko in King Harald, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see how the remainder of his story goes in the next couple of chapters in One Piece.
