One Piece chapter 1155 gave fans an in-depth look into Rocks pirate career, and everything about him, from his goal, all the way to his fighting style, was revealed to the fans. Curiously enough, Rocks's fighting style was confirmed to be absolutely monstrous, quite easily the strongest in the world.

Rocks D. Xebec Has The Most Unique Sword Techniques In One Piece

  • Rocks Is A Monstrous Fighter
  • Rocks Can Cause Blunt Damage To Enemies

Rocks D. Xebec fought using a sword, and his sword techniques were recently revealed to be quite unique. In the world of One Piece, swordsmen practice the way of the blade to cut down even the strongest of enemies. Cutting is the essence of being a swordsman, and even when a swordsman chooses not to cut something, it is to protect them, as explained by Koushiro. This is the philosophy that most swordsmen, including Zoro, Koushiro, and even Mihawk himself follow. But, Rocks was different.

Rocks's sword was known to do blunt damage, like a hammer or a cannon. — Narrator

To Rocks, a sword is simply a tool, and he doesn't use it as a sword at all. Instead, Rocks's sword style was especially known to cause blunt damage, as if his opponents were hit by a hammer or a cannon blast. Rocks's sword was also known to blow away everything in the path, which, as stated by Koushiro himself, isn't true swordsmanship at all. Yet, it is incredibly effective, and above all, extremely powerful.

Rocks Can Wipe Out Islands With His Techniques

Rocks Destroyed The Gates Of Justice

Rocks D. Xebec used powerful Haki-infused shockwaves of blunt force that could damage and destroy just about anything. In One Piece chapter 1155, it was revealed to the fans that Rocks actually smashed through the Gates of Justice with his technique. To put that into perspective, the Gates of Justice are the size of a whole island, and Rocks being able to destroy them means that he can wipe out islands with ease. The peak of Rocks's fighting technique hasn't been shown by Oda just yet, but it will be fully revealed when God Valley is fleshed out.

Rocks's Sword Techniques Were Copied By Roger, And Later Shanks

Rocks D. Xebec invented this bizarre fighting style of using a sword as a hammer or a cannon, but he isn't the only user of this technique. At some point, Roger, likely after observing Rocks, managed to copy this technique. Roger would later go on to make it his main fighting style.

Shanks, Roger's apprentice, observed him secretly and carefully, and went on to master this technique himself even before hitting the age of 15.

Truly, these three, despite not being traditional swordsmen, are absolute monsters that can't be rivaled by anyone.
