The world of One Piece is filled with some incredibly powerful figures who belong to different organisations, and over the years, Oda has done incredibly well to flesh them out. The pirates, who were all led to the seas due to the beginning of the Great Pirate Era, have their own powerful figures in the world, called the Yonko. The Revolutionary Army has their own powerful figures, such as Dragon, and of course, one absolutely cannot forget about the Marine Admirals.
One Piece: Oda Confirms Zoro Is Far Weaker Than Fans Thought, But He Can Grow Stronger In 1 Way
Zoro is not that strong, but he could reach Yonko level if he unlocks this one ability in One Piece.
It is quite well known that the Marine Admirals are the powerhouse of the World Government, given that the Navy serves as the front face of the WG. As such, these Marine Admirals need to be incredibly strong at all times, which they have shown time and again. Yet, in One Piece chapter 1154, Oda finally introduced a character strong enough to kill even an Admiral, and it has truly excited the fans.
Rocks Came To The Reverie 56 Years Ago
Rocks D. Xebec Was Shockingly Involved In a Reverie
With Elbaf's Loki flashback having begun, fans knew very well that they would see exciting information about Rocks D. Xebec, someone that Loki idolizes to this day. Expectedly, Oda shed some more light on the life of Rocks D. Xebec during this flashback, and it was revealed to the fans that Rocks wasn't always famous. At one point, Rocks managed to get to the Reverie, 56 years ago. This was rather shocking, because it can only be possible in two ways. The first way is for Rocks to have invaded the Reverie, which would've been incredibly difficult alone. The second way is for Rocks to have been a former King, which isn't impossible, given that he did want to be the King of the World.

Rocks D. Xebec Killed A Marine Admiral 56 Years Ago
The First Navy Admiral To Go Down Was Thanks To Rocks
It was during this Reverie visit that Rocks ended up fighting against a Marine Admiral and killed him. At this time, Rocks was not at his strongest and he didn't even have a crew. He single-handedly killed a Marine Admiral. What's even crazier is the fact that he simply led Marijoa unchallenged, which meant that he wasn't severely injured and this fight was relatively easy for him. This earned Rocks D. Xebec his first bounty and attracted a lot of attention towards him.

Rocks Was Not Even In His Prime At The Time
It is very important to note that when Rocks killed a Navy Admiral, he wasn't in his prime. At this time, the Rocks Pirates didn't exist, and he was just another person. Rocks clearly didn't have the strength and infamy that he gained later on in his life. To kill an Admiral for fame and then grow even stronger is shocking, and it shows why Roger couldn't beat Rocks on his own.
