This is largely down to the fact that Elbaf features Imu as the main villain, something that not many fans expected in this arc. If that wasn't enough, Oda has already given the fans a good glimpse of Imu's powers and it is clear that they possess tremendous abilities that hardly anyone can match. It has practically been confirmed in One Piece that Imu is the Demon God Of the world.

Up until now, fans didn't really have a clear idea of what powers Imu would possess. Although Od did give the fans a glimpse of Imu's abilities in the Reverie arc, the true nature of the ability itself wasn't clear to the fans. Now, however, in Elbaf, it is clear that Imu is going all-out and showcasing powers that one absolutely would never have imagined them to use.

First things first, in One Piece chapter 1149, Oda confirmed to the fans that Imu is indeed a user of a God fruit. Imu is just like Luffy in this regard. Luffy may be the Sun God Nika, but Imu is a demon god, and the complete opposite of it. More than that, in One Piece chapter 1150, Oda revealed a bit of Imu's power to the fans. Clearly, Imu is very strong, but the fascinating part is the nature of the abilities. It is clear for anyone to see that Imu is actually the manifestation of the devil itself in the One Piece world. Imu has bat-like wings and a devil tail, along with a trident. It is clear to see that Imu has been a Devil all along.

Possibly, Imu might also be the complete opposite of Luffy. Just as Luffy is the Sun God Nika, Imu is the Demon God. This is further confirmed via Imu's powers, which they call the Power of Evil in One Piece.

To the surprise of everyone, Imu's abilities are just as mystical as those of Luffy. While Luffy can use his freedom to do just about anything, Imu is different. Imu can actually use the power of evil freely and use it to conjure things like a magic book. As seen in One Piece chapter 1150, Imu can use a magic book to cast various spells. So far, they have used a spell to turn someone Immortal and give them tremendous strength, but more than that, turn them into their eternal slave. Imu's magic book can also use other powers, as is evident from the fact that it has many pages. Where exactly this book comes from and what other powers it holds isn't clear, but one thing that fans need to remember is that this book is full of demon magic, and it is capable of large-scale destruction.

How Strong Is Imu?

Given that Imu is the Demon God of the One Piece world, it is clear to see that their powers cannot be stopped by just anyone. Imu is an absolute monster that even Luffy might not be able to stand up for now. They are, at the moment, the strongest in the world of One Piece. Seeing a glimpse of their power, it is clear to see why Imu was able to beat Joy Boy. Against a Demon God such as them, winning is almost impossible.

One Piece Chapter 1150 will be out in a week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
