The Roger Pirates were led by the late Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. Roger himself is considered to be the strongest pirate, equaled only by Whitebeard at his peak. However, Roger wasn't the only powerhouse in this crew. It is quite clear that Roger had two strong underlings, those being Rayleigh and Gaban. Both Rayleigh and Gaban are now confirmed to be on the same level as the likes of Roger himself, which means this crew essentially housed three Yonko-level fighters. Add Oden to the mix, and that had 4 Yonko level fighters onboard, meaning few could fight them. At their peak, the Roger Pirates would've most likely been stronger than the Rocks Pirates.

Why the Straw Hat Pirates Will Surpass The Roger Pirates

Luffy Will Go Beyond Roger

While the Roger Pirates are likely the strongest crew in One Piece, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will go even beyond. Fans know already that Luffy is going to become the Pirate King and that is no surprise. It is also quite clear that Luffy needs to go beyond Roger's level to do what he couldn't. Meanwhile, Zoro will surpass Rayleigh and Gaban, while Sanji will do the same. Together, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji will be legendary monsters. If the other members of the Straw Hat Pirates strengthen themselves as well, then this crew will definitely become the strongest in One Piece.
