This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf arc.

One Piece's Elbaf arc has revealed a ton of important secrets to the fans already, but one of the biggest came in One Piece chapter 1154, where it was practically confirmed by Oda that Rocks D. Xebec had a child. As most fans had guessed already, Rocks D. Xebec's son turned out to be none other than Blackbeard.

This was quite obvious, based on the fact that Blackbeard called his own ship the Saber of Xebec and rules the Pirate Island. But, while it is confirmed that Blackbeard is the son of Rocks, there could very well be another child of the same legendary pirate that's been hiding in plain sight, and he too serves as one of the Four Emperors of the Sea, just like Blackbeard.

Rocks D. Xebec Could've Had More Than One Child

  • Blackbeard Is The Son Of Rocks
  • Buggy Could Be Rocks's Second Son

One Piece chapter 1154 introduced Rocks D. Xebec properly to the fans for the very first time, and this reveal was significant, to say the least. Fans know very well that Rocks D. Xebec was a legendary figure in the world around 40 years ago. For a figure such as him, it isn't a surprise to know that he had children. His first child was revealed to the fans in One Piece chapter 1154, and that turned out to be none other than Blackbeard, one of the current Yonko. Of course, most fans know that by now, but, there's no proof that Rocks only had one child.

In fact, Rocks could easily have had more children, and Oda seems to have hinted at another character being his son, and that's none other than Buggy.

For one, Buggy looks remarkably like Rocks, with the only exception being his red nose. But, what most fans don't know is that Buggy's nose isn't actually real. As shown in a cover request, Buggy's nose can be taken off. Moreover, One Piece’s Buggy merch has officially confirmed that he is actually hiding his true identity, and that his nose isn't real.

His real name and true face are still unknown, making him a character shrouded in mystery.

Buggy's Age Matches with the God Valley Incident

Buggy Was Likely Given To Roger

One Piece fans know very well that both Shanks and Buggy were raised by Roger on his ship. However, only Shanks was seen being picked up from God Valley, so where did Buggy come from? The answer is also the God Valley Incident. As revealed in the Kuma flashback, it seems that the reason why Rocks went to God Valley in the first place is to retrieve something that was taken from him by the World Government or the Navy. This might be a sort of kidnapping, and Buggy could be the one who was taken.

As such, just as Shanks ended up with Roger, Buggy could've ended up with Garp. And just as Roger gave Ace to Garp, the latter could've given Buggy to him to raise, knowing full well that the Government would want to kill him and erase Rocks's line.

This would make Blackbeard and Buggy half-brothers, but while that is hard for some to believe, the chances of this being true are quite significant.

One Piece Chapter 1155 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
