This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf arc.
One Piece is in quite an exciting phase at the moment, with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates currently going up against Imu and his Holy Knights in the Warland, Elbaf. Although Oda has put a break on all that with the Loki flashback, fans know that once the flashback ends, the story will jump right to where things left off, with Luffy being ready to take on Imu.
One Piece: Oda Officially Confirms The True Bloodline Of Shanks And Shamrock
Shanks and Shamrock's bloodline has been revealed by Oda, and One Piece fans are surprised.
Right now, Luffy isn't strong enough to fight against Imu, or defeat them, and this is largely down to the fact that he needs to work on his Haki. This means Luffy hasn't hit his strongest transformation yet, and it is something that he's going to officially use when he learns to damage immortals in the Elbaf arc. Oda has already set up a major power-up for Luffy in the Final Saga, and that also means his final transformation, which will allow him to use full-power Conqueror's Haki and Gear 5 at the same time, will finally be revealed.
Luffy's Final Transformation Will See Gear 5 Combined With Full Power Haki
Luffy Is Yet To Hit His Strongest Transformation
- Luffy unlocked Gear 5 in the fight against Kaido
- He will master his Haki in the Elbaf arc
Right now, Luffy's strongest ability in the story is Gear 5. Fans know very well that Luffy tapped into the power of Gear 5 recently, in the battle against Kaido. He then went on to use it against Lucci, and of course, shortly after that, he proceeded to fight Kizaru with it. While these fights saw Gear 5 absolutely dominate, the weakness stood out when Luffy fought the Five Elders. Since they had immortal bodies, Luffy couldn't do a single thing against them. He was not able to scratch them in combat, even with Gear 5. This is why they resorted to running away. That said, One Piece fans know very well that Luffy is going to get stronger and that he will soon master his final transformation.
This is it! This is my peak. This is Gear 5! — Luffy
In the Elbaf arc, Gaban told Luffy to learn how to use his Haki properly. Luffy can't injure immortals with Conqueror's Haki, but he will learn to do it soon. This means he must hit a new level of Haki, similar to the one used by Gaban, and when he does, he will reach a new level of power.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Confirmed The Strongest Ability Of Monkey D. Dragon
Monkey D. Dragon is powerful, and his strongest ability isn't even a Devil Fruit in One Piece.
Luffy's final transformation will see him use Gear 5 and full power Haki at the same time, and when he does this, he will become strong enough to fight Imu on equal footing.
Such obstacles can only be overcome with Haki. Roger proved it! — Kaido
Luffy's Final Transformation Will Make Him Pirate King Level
Luffy Must Hit The Same Level As Roger, Whitebeard, And Rocks To Beat Imu
Right now, Luffy is incredibly strong and fans know very well that he's Yonko-level. But, it would be a stretch to say that Luffy is stronger than Shanks or that he's on Roger or Whitebeard’s level. Clearly, Luffy must grow stronger and that's where his final transformation in One Piece comes in. Once Luffy taps into his final transformation, he will reach the same level as Roger and Whitebeard, and potentially even beat Imu, which will then set the stage for the Final War in One Piece, and every single fan of the story is incredibly excited to see just that.
