One of the most exciting parts of One Piece is seeing Luffy gain new crewmates on his adventure. In the East Blue, Luffy recruited his first four crewmates — Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. Then, in the first part of the Grand Line, he recruited Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook.
Now in the New World, only one character has been added to the crew so far, Jinbe. Jinbe officially joined the crew in Wano but fans knew for a while he was going to join.
Since then, fans have been wondering who the next Straw Hat will be, and with every new arc, new options are added. The most popular candidate for the next Straw Hat for a long time has been Vivi, who could be considered an honorary member already.
Aside from her, fans believe Loki, Yamato, or Bonney also have a very good shot at joining. Nothing is impossible with Oda, and these are all highly plausible.
