It shouldn't be long before Luffy reaches the very top of the One Piece world, and in doing so he's going to surpass many characters. Along with Luffy, there are many others who will go on to reach great heights in the future too. After all, Luffy isn't the only powerful character who is in the running for the One Piece. In fact, there will be many who will go on to surpass the likes of Roger and Whitebeard from the old generation.

Roger Was The Mightiest In The World Of One Piece

When it comes to the old generation of One Piece, few characters stand out as much as Roger. In terms of infamy, Roger was, obviously leagues above the rest, as indicated by his bounty and wanted status. But even in terms of power, Roger wasn't behind anyone.

In fact, Oda has established in his story already that Roger was actually the strongest in the One Piece world. Of course, the man carrying the title of the strongest man in One Piece was Whitebeard, but his title comes from his ability to destroy the world. Roger Will Be Surpassed By A Few Characters

Luffy Will Definitely Surpass Roger

The protagonist of the series, Monkey D. Luffy will inevitably go beyond Roger. Luffy has to reach Joy Boy's level and even surpass it, if he is to beat the likes of Imu. For this reason alone, Luffy must surpass Roger, no matter what.

Blackbeard Will Surpass Roger

Blackbeard is yet another character who the fans know can and should surpass Roger. Teach Is actively hunting for multiple Devil Fruits, despite already being a Yonko. He will rise to the next level and gain tremendous power. If he gains another Devil Fruit, that, if combined with his Haki, will make sure he surpasses Whitebeard, his former captain, and become a force to be reckoned with.

Imu Might Already Be Beyond Roger's Level

Of course, then there is Imu. Unlike the others, Imu might not have surpassed Joy Boy, but they should be above Roger in terms of power. As a god, that would be the least that fans would expect from them. It is only a matter of time before Imu unleashes their power on Elbaf. Once that happens, fans will see how strong his monster truly is.
