When Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, along with all the other members of the Straw Hats, were traveling through the deserts of Arabasta, they encountered a Sandora Dragon. This Sandora Dragon was incredibly powerful, and while the vast majority of the Strawhat Pirates were not equipped to deal with this threat, these three monstrously powerful individuals saw to it that this threat was dealt with, and later, cooked as well. When the Sandora Dragon approached, all three of them utilized powerful attacks. Luffy utilized an attack called Gum Gum Whip, while Zoro used his Dragon Twister. Meanwhile, Sanji utilized his Epaule Strike. The Straw Hat Pirates then proceeded to cook and eat the beats.
Of course, there was a comedic element attached to this moment. But, more than that, it was a moment that Oda took to highlight the fact that the Monster Trio are formidable and, at the same time, competent, with the ability to lead at every passing step.

Luffy, Zoro And Sanji Used The Same Attacks To Deal With The Lion
In Elbaf, fans got to see the Monster Trio combine once again in One Piece chapter 1127. This trio was shown fighting off-screen at first. In One Piece chapter 1127, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, fought against the bees near the world tree Yggdrasil, and knocked them down effortlessly. It was also revealed that they had defeated and eaten the Ear God, which was a giant rabbit in the land of Elbaf. Furthermore, they encountered the biggest challenge when they reached the castle where Nami and Usopp were fighting against the giant cat.
It was clear for the fans to see that the cat was going for the kill and had already injured Usopp greatly. But, all three of them stepped out at the right time and defeated it.

Luffy has become a Yonko, and the other two are among the strongest pirates in the entire world
As far as the attacks they utilized go, Luffy used what appears to be a Gear Third Gum Gum Elephant Whip, while Zoro utilized a powerful Black Rope Dragon Twister. Sanji, being the most upset by the fact that the cat was going for the kill against Nami, tapped into Ifrit Jambe, and utilized the newer version of Epaule Strike. All these attacks combined together to deliver a lethal blow to the giant cat from Elbaf, which had now turned into a lion at this point. This lion was taken down, and fans then got a glorious final of the Monster Trio in the new outfits, looking for a bigger force to fight and causing more trouble in Elbaf.

Elbaf Will See The Monster Trio Get Even Stronger
Based on the beginning that the Monster Trio has enjoyed in the Elbaf Arc of One Piece, it is clear for the fans to see that there are greater things to come. Oda always highlights important elements of his story arcs at the very beginning. The fact that he chose to highlight Usopp, Nami, and the Monster Trio at the beginning suggests that these five characters will be incredibly important in this particular segment of the story, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what Oda has in store for them.
