Even among those who do, there are only a select few who wield all the forms of Haki. The rarest form of Haki that Oda has introduced in One Piece so far is the power to Kill Observation, also known as Observation Killing, and it is only wielded by one character — the Red Haired Emperor of the Sea, Shanks. This is officially the rarest form of Haki in One Piece, and its powers are absolutely incredible, giving Shanks a big edge over the vast majority of the enemies that he fights against in the New World.

In general, the power of Haki comes in just two types, and those are the Color of Observation and the Color of Arms. While the former gives one a sixth-sense ability that boosts sensory perception to a whole new level, the second allows them to summon their spirit and use it as armor for both offensive and defensive purposes. All living beings in the world of One Piece are capable of using the power of these two Haki types, but awakening them isn't easy.

There also exists a third Haki type, but this one isn't present in everyone. It is only found in one in a million people, especially those with kindly qualities. This is the power to overwhelm the enemies, called the Color of the Supreme King, or Conqueror's Haki. Fans have seen many powerful Conqueror's Haki users in One Piece, but among them, Shanks is clearly the standout user, especially when looking at those who are alive at the moment.

Just like all the Haki types, Conqueror's Haki also has its own subtypes, and Observation Killing is officially one of its strongest subtypes that fans have seen over the years. To put it simply, Observation Killing allows one to use Conqueror's Haki on themselves in such a way that they can fully control their presence and erase it. In other words, it kills the Observation Haki of the enemy. When presence is curtailed, the enemy cannot read their movements at all, and they cannot see the future either. In other words, their Observation Haki becomes useless and it gives the user a massive advantage in battle.

Shanks is the strongest pirate in the world of One Piece right now. Not counting the likes of Imu, Shanks might just be the strongest character in the One Piece world, and that's exactly what makes him so special.
