One Piece entered its final saga with the Egghead Island arc, and now, the Straw Hat Pirates have sailed to Elbaf, where a deadly battle awaits. In the meantime, Oda interrupted the conflict with one of the best flashbacks of the story, that of King Harald, Loki, and Rocks D. Xebec.

In all the chaos unfolding, Oda has, however, also revealed quite a few characters who could be described as Yonko level. These characters include Shanks’s own relatives, Figarland Shamrock, his twin brother, and Figarland Garling, his father. These two are top-tier fighters, even though we have yet to see them in full action.

With the Final Saga, fans were shocked to discover that Shanks has a twin brother, a man named Figarland Shamrock. Shamrock looks just like Shanks. He has the same appearance, but their personalities and goals couldn’t be more different. While Shanks became a pirate, Shamrock fights on the side of the World Government as a part of the Holy Knights — one of the most powerful forces in the One Piece world.

While fans have never seen Shamrock in full action, and probably won’t for a while as he has left Elbaf, it’s safe to say he should be on Shanks’s level. If he wasn’t, it wouldn’t make much narrative sense. Furthermore, Shamrock openly considered himself to be above Loki in power, which should put him close to Shanks.

Figarland Garling Is a Member Of The Five Elders Now

Another member of the Figarland family, Figarland Garling, is an insanely powerful figure introduced by Oda. Garling is, as expected, Shanks and Shamrock’s father. He has quite a track record, as until recently, he was the leader of the Holy Knights. Following Saturn’s death in Egghead, he was promoted to Gorosei. The Gorosei are insanely powerful, and even have immortality. From the looks of it, it could very well be that Garling is the strongest of the five.

Garling also has previously fought against incredibly powerful One Piece top tiers on God Valley, such as Rocks D. Xebec or Roger. This all leads fans to believe that not only would he be on the level of a Yonko, but perhaps even higher, on the level of the Pirate King. Fans definitely have high expectations for this character once he is directly involved in the events of the story during this final saga.

One Piece Chapter 1159 will be out next week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12 AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on August 31. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1159 is September 7, 2025.
