In the final saga of One Piece, the power of Conqueror's Haki is more important than ever. Oda has recently introduced a formidable bunch of characters in his story, known as the Holy Knights. At the same time, the likes of the Five Elders have also made their move, as has the Sovereign of the World, Imu. All of these characters are special, and their existence in the story has put a special emphasis on Conqueror's Haki for one main reason — the fact that it is their only major weakness.
All these elites of the World Government and the Celestial Dragon ranks are immortal individuals with the power of regeneration. As such, without attacks that are coated in Conqueror's Haki, they cannot be beaten. It is for this reason that One Piece needs more Conqueror's Haki users, and Oda has already hinted at three more members of the Straw Hat crew getting this ability soon enough.
The Straw Hat Pirates Need More Conqueror's Haki Users
Only Two Members Of The Crew Can Use Conqueror's Haki Right Now
The Straw Hat pirates are directly going to be challenging the World Government in the final saga of One Piece, and that has been established by Oda already. In fact, in the Egghead arc, which was the first arc of the Final Saga, the Straw Hats already clashed with the forces of the Government. The Five Elders were summoned to the island, and all of them ran rampant in an attempt to kill Vegapunk before his message was released. While an all-out battle with the Five Elders was not held on Egghead, it was quite clear to see that the Straw Hats struggled largely against them because of their immortality and regeneration.
Moving onto the Elbaf arc, once again, the main enemies were the Celestial Dragons of the Holy Land of Marijoa. This time around, it was the Holy Knights, specifically Saint Somers, Saint Killingham, and Gunko, who was possessed by Imu. Quite clearly, the likes of the Holy Knights are formidable enemies for anyone to take on. On top of their incredible Devil Fruit powers and strong Haki, they are also immortal and are difficult to put down even for strong characters such as Nico Robin. To defeat them, Conqueror's Haki is required, as has already been established in the story by Scopper Gabban.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, the Straw Hat Pirates only have two Conqueror's Haki users in Luffy and Zoro. Luffy managed to gain conscious control over his Conqueror's Haki during the time skip, while Zoro only recently found out that he even had access to this ability in the first place. As such, even Zoro is not much of a reliable user of Conqueror's Haki, which further highlights the need for the Straw Hat Pirates to get more Conqueror's Haki users later down the line. As it so happens, Oda has already set up Sanji, Usopp, and Nami to potentially get Conqueror's Haki in the final saga of One Piece.
The weakness of these immortals is us, those with the power to coat their attacks on Supreme King Haki! — Scopper Gaban
Sanji Awakening Conqueror's Haki Is A Guarantee
The Next Supreme King Haki Users In The Straw Hats
Sanji awakening Conqueror's Haki is almost a guarantee at this point in time. He is known to wield two powerful types of Haki already, and he is one of the main Combatants of the Straw Hat Pirates. Sanji is the parallel to Scopper Gaban, and as was the case in the Roger Pirates, all of the Monster Trio were capable of utilizing this Haki type. As such, there is no reason to believe that Sanji won't go on to awaken Conqueror's Haki in One Piece as well. It is only a matter of time before he taps into this third special Haki type, and makes use of it against the Holy Knights and the Demon Army that is currently infesting the land of Elbaf.
With the power of Conqueror's Haki, Sanji will be able to counter immortality and regeneration and, at the same time, improve his offensive output by quite a mile, making him one of the strongest pirates on the seas.
Usopp Has Been Hinted To Gain Conqueror's Haki
Sanji isn't the only character in the Straw Hat Pirates with the potential to awaken Conqueror's Haki. Usopp, one of the East Blue recruits, is yet another. Usopp has a habit of lying about things that later end up coming true in One Piece, and one such thing he lied about in the Dressrosa arc was having Conqueror's Haki. This lie was once again repeated in the Wano Country Arc, where Usopp stated that his Haki was so strong that its reverberations were being felt all over the Onigashima Castle. At the same time, Usopp draws parallels to Noland the Liar, who was a formidable warrior.
Usopp wants to be just like the proud Elbaf warriors as well, and for such a character, gaining the power of Conqueror's Haki would be a way for Oda to showcase incredible fighting spirit and indomitable will. While Usopp's chances of awakening Conqueror's Haki are not as great as those of Sanji, he should be in the running, and that goes without saying.
Nami Could Also Awaken Conqueror's Haki
One of the most unexpected Straw Hats to get Conqueror's Haki, Nami is in the running to gain this ability as well. While this might come as a shock to most readers of the manga, it is a fact that Oda has himself teased in the story. For instance, towards the end of the Wano Country arc, Nami was seen capable of damaging Luffy, despite his body being made of rubber. On top of that, she was seen emitting sparks of Haki with Jinbei and Chopper, likened to the Color of the Supreme King. Of course, this was a gag by Oda, but often he takes gags and turns them into serious plot points.
Nami having this ability would not come as a surprise either, given her mysterious lineage that was so special that Oda refused to reveal it in One Piece: Strong World. If Nami were to awaken Conqueror's Haki as well, then all the East Blue Five would be the original conquerors of the Straw Hat Pirates, and that would be perfectly fitting for the conclusion of the One Piece story.
With five Conqueror's Haki users, the Straw Hat Pirates would then be ready to face off against the likes of the Holy Knights and even the Five Elders who will stand in their path later down the line. In that regard, a lot of focus will be put on their development in the Elbaf Arc, which is where they might end up showing glimpses of this power in one way or another. By the time of the Final War, the Straw Hats desperately need more Conqueror's Haki users, and with Sanji, Usopp, and Nami, they could get exactly that.
