Devil Fruits are incredibly powerful and whoever eats them gains an amazing power in exchange for their ability to swim. Depending on what kind of Devil Fruit one eats, their powers are either Logia, Paramecia, or Zoan. While the powers that one gets from the Devil Fruits can vary greatly, one rule applies to all, and that is they can only eat one Devil Fruit. Oda has already established in his story that if someone eats more than one Devil Fruit, their bodies explode.

But, there is an exception to this rule, and that's Marshall D. Teach. Teach is incredibly special, and his body somehow allows him to hold more than one ability. But, there is another in One Piece known to hold not just two but potentially an innumerable number of Devil Fruit powers, and that's none other than Imu, the Sovereign of the World. Oda has already shown Imu with multiple powers, and more about this will be shown to the fans later down the line.

Fans might be wondering how and when Imu used more than one Devil Fruit ability in One Piece, but it is actually quite clear and Oda has already confirmed it in the story. For one, Imu has access to their own ability, which seems to be the ability of the Demon God.

Imu can sprout wings, get a trident, and even use magic spells to do impossible things in One Piece. This is the power that fans saw in the Elbaf arc of One Piece, and that's most likely Imu's Devil Fruit ability. But, this is also only the first ability of Imu that fans have seen. There is certainly more to Imu's powers than just that.

For one, fans know that Imu can take over the bodies of others. At the very least, Imu can take over Gunko's body, and that gives him access to all of Gunko's powers. In other words, the power of the Aro Aro no Mi belongs to Imu whenever they wish. Imu can use their own demonic power in Gunko's body, or they can choose to use the dangerous Aro Aro no Mi. That alone makes it two abilities, but that's not the limit to Imu's powers.

Imu can also use more abilities, as they can freely bestow or take abilities from others. All the Five Elders, Holy Knights, and potentially even some Marines source their abilities from Imu. For instance, in the case of Saint Saturn, Imu easily removed the Gyuki ability from him and killed him immediately. Similarly, Imu gave all the elders abilities at one point, and it is safe to assume that Imu can make use of any ability they have stored within themself.

How Imu Having Multiple Powers Affects The Final Saga Of One Piece

Imu Is Currently The Strongest In The World

Imu being able to make use of multiple Devil Fruit powers makes them unique. In the One Piece world, few can use Devil Fruits, but Imu is one character who seems to be capable of using multiple without any repercussions. In simple terms, this means that Imu is the strongest in the world of One Piece. Not only can Imu use different powers, but they can also bestow their powers on others.

Imu is, by far, the strongest in One Piece, and fans will see a demonstration of this soon enough in the Elbaf arc. Against Luffy, Imu will use multiple abilities, including the Demon God power, the Aro Aro no Mi, and possibly even more abilities that they have stored inside of them all this time, likely accessible through the spellbook.
