One Piece chapter 1159 was especially important in this regard, as not only did it mark the beginning of the most intriguing event that took place in the recent history of the world, the God Valley Incident, but at the same time, it also revealed some of the most crucial information about Rocks D. Xebec. For the very first time, fans found out that Rocks D. Xebec actually had a hidden name and that it is Davy D. Xebec.

In the past, Imu clearly fought and punished Davy Jones, and this is also supported by the lore, which clearly states that Davy Jones was cursed by the Devil. He was somehow involved in the death of Rocks D. Xebec as well. But, Rocks's Will was inherited by none other than his son, Davy D. Teach.

Fans know that Teach has the same goal as Rocks D. Xebec, and that means he is aiming for Marijoa. Teach wants to become the King of the World and his goal essentially puts him up against Imu. Furthermore, fans also know that Imu will face Teach in Marijoa sooner or later and this is supported by the fact that Rocks promised Imu that he would eventually return to him.
Now that it's been established that Teach will fight Imu, there is something important that fans must keep in mind, and it is the pattern in which Oda writes his stories. Oda would never let Imu eradicate the bloodline of Davy Jones.

The line has to survive in one way or another, and it would be anticlimactic to have all the Davy Clan members be eradicated by Imu. Blackbeard is also on his journey of fate, and for him to fall to Imu doesn't seem likely. The only logical conclusion here is that Blackbeard ends up becoming the King of the World for a significant portion of time before Luffy eventually takes him down.

If Blackbeard succeeds in becoming the King of the world, then it is quite clear that the Final Villain of One Piece will be none other than Blackbeard. This would be anticlimactic in some ways, but it would mean that Imu would go down at the hands of someone else, and for Luffy, the final villain of the series will be none other than Teach.
