Marijoa Is The Holy Land Of The Celestial Dragons

  • Marijoa is The Capital of the World Government
  • The Celestial Dragons Reside Right There

One Piece is a story with many intriguing locations, with all of them being different and diverse in many ways. Some locations definitely leave more of an imprint than others, and Marijoa is definitely one of them.

If anything, Marijoa is up there with some of the most important locations in the series. Marijoa was actually revealed pretty early on in the One Piece series, all the way back in chapter 142 of the manga. This was during the Drum Island arc.

However, until the time skip, this location hadn’t been getting that much attention. It wasn't until the Reverie arc, which sat between the events of Whole Cake Island and Wano, that Oda threw some light on it. There, fans finally got a better glimpse at this place.

Marijoa is located in quite a peculiar place. It is on top of the Red Line, between Paradise and the New World. This place is the main base of the World Government, and is where the Gods of the One Piece world reside, the Celestial Dragons.

Marijoa is still quite mysterious, in general, but more and more information is being revealed about the Holy Land. After all, this is also where One Piece’s strongest being resides, Saint Imu Nerona, the secret ruler of the world.

The location of Marijoa and the level of security it harbors made the fans believe that it was untouchable. However, the recent chapter reveals just how much trouble it is in.

Marijoa Is In Flames As Confirmed By Imu

Imu Takes Over Gunko's Body

Marijoa is located in a place that is very hard to target. It is not an easy task to climb the Red Line, let alone do it with an army. Location aside, Marijoa harbors some of the very strongest characters in the series. Imu is the strongest character in the series, and of course, they never leave Marijoa. But even aside from Imu, some insanely powerful characters are there. The Gorosei, also known as the Five Elders, are there, and along with them, powerful fighters known as the Holy Knights are also there usually. Marijoa can also deploy powerful members of the Marines, such as the Admirals, if the need arises.

Despite all that, Marijoa is under attack, and it appears to be quite intense. In One Piece chapter 1149, fans discover that Marijoa is engulfed in flames. Imu reveals just that as he speaks to the three Holy Knights currently on Elbaf, complaining that they are taking far too long.

Fans had an idea that things weren’t too great in Marijoa since Shamrock, the current leader of the Holy Knights, had to leave back to Marijoa. But, not many fans expected how bad the situation was. This leaves one major question to be asked now — just who is behind this attack on the Holy Land?

Who Is The Culprit Behind The Marijoa Attack?

Some Believe It to Be The Revolutionary Army, But It’s Unlikely

It’s hard to say right now who is responsible for this major attack on Marijoa, but there are many theories floating around.

The most popular belief is that the Revolutionary Army are behind this attack. After all, destroying the Celestial Dragons is their goal and they were at Marijoa not too long ago. However, when exploring this idea, it doesn’t really hold up. The Revolutionary Army wouldn't choose to attack the Holy Land right now. Their goal for heading there was to free the slaves and to bring the fight with the Holy Knights to them. This doesn’t seem like something Monkey D. Dragon would order.

So if not the Revolutionary Army, then who could it be?

Two options become possible when putting aside the Revolutionary Army: The Blackbeard Pirates or the Red Hair Pirates.

These two groups have the power and the motives to attack Marijoa, but of course, it could be revealed to be someone else entirely, so fans will have to wait and see what goes down.
