The Elbaf arc is slowly heading towards its conclusion. The last couple of chapters have focused on the altercation between the Holy Knights and Scopper Gaban. The latter fought Shepherd Sommers in One Piece Chapter 1148 and completely overwhelmed the Holy Knight.

Gaban continued the rampage in Chapter 1149, where he diced Sommers into small pieces, leaving him completely exposed. Before Gaban obliterated Sommers, nobody believed the Holy Knights could be beaten, with the main reason being their immortality. Gaban's offense made everyone change their minds, but the pendulum shifted back in favor of the Holy Knights.

Scopper Gaban is an insanely powerful character who possesses all three kinds of Haki, and he has mastered all of them. Aside from having monstrous Haki, Scopper Gaban's physical abilities are also incredible. Despite being over 60 years old, Gaban was easily able to match Luffy and Zoro's speed. He easily lifted a key made for the Giants and swung it around effortlessly.

Clearly, Gaban has so many noteworthy skills, but the one that stands out the most is his ability to bypass the immortality of the Holy Knights. Many individuals had tried to hurt them before Gaban but found no success. So, for Gaban to come in and do it without any problems raises many questions about his powers, including how strong he really is.

Despite being so strong, Gaban has his limitations, and they are mainly emotional. In Chapter 1149, fans saw Gaban trying to rescue his son Collun from Gunko. The latter was determined to kill Collun, and Gaban immediately put down his weapons after seeing the future. Gunko seized this opportunity and attacked him with arrows. With Gaban's defeat, there is no other person capable of hurting the Holy Knights, but there is one character who could yet save Elbaf from destruction.

Following Sommers' defeat, Chopper decided to run after Gaban in hopes of learning the trick to beating the Holy Knights. This is the sole reason why fans don't have to worry about Gaban, because Chopper has the means to save the legendary pirate. He can easily patch up Gaban and save him from certain death.

While Chopper is helping Gaban, he can ask the Mountain Eater how he bypassed the Holy Knights' immortality. If Gaban reveals the secret to Chopper, the doctor can relay this information to others, which will give them a fighting chance of winning against the Holy Knights.

It is also possible that Chopper could end up creating a new drug that could nullify the regenerative abilities of the enemies. Chopper previously created a drug that allows a Mink to use their Sulong form. He gave the medicine to Bepo, who used it against the Blackbeard Pirates. So, Chopper creating a drug to counter the Holy Knights' power is not entirely out of the question.

If Chopper successfully creates a drug that nullifies immortality, it will give the Straw Hats a huge advantage in the Final War against the Holy Knights and the Gorosei. It's quite obvious that not all Straw Hats will obtain the power required to get past the regenerative powers of these behemoths. With Chopper's drug, they don't have to worry about it.

Of course, this is just one of the many things that Chopper can do. As a doctor, Chopper will tend to any injuries that the Straw Hats or any of their allies sustain in the Final Saga. The heroes can't afford to be reckless, unlike their immortal opponents.

Chopper also has a solid amount of fighting experience. He has helped the Straw Hats to get over the line many times with his combat skills, so it won't be surprising to see him fight one of the big names in the Final War. Hopefully, Oda gives Chopper some kind of power-up that will help him in his future fights.
