One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc, where Oda has revealed the true capabilities of the World Government. Fans have always wanted the main conflict of the series to get some attention, and finally, in this saga, Oda is doing just that. In the Elbaf arc, Oda revealed the Holy Knights, known to be incredibly powerful members of the Celestial Dragons.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed Why Imu Wants Vivi, And It Confirms Her Fate
Vivi and Imu have a vital connection in One Piece, and Oda has already revealed why.
At the same time, the Five Elders have also moved in the final arc of Elbaf, and finally, to top it all off, Imu, the sovereign of the world, has also made a move. With such a focus on the World Government forces, it is no surprise to know that fans have been wondering whether the Admirals can hold their own against the Holy Knights or not. Oda has officially given an answer to that question.
The Holy Knights Are Immortal And Can Regenerate
- The Holy Knights Can't Be Beaten Normally
- They Can Live Forever
One Piece's Elbaf arc has made it very clear that the Holy Knights are incredibly powerful fighters. The first two Holy Knights to make their presence known in this arc were Shamrock Figarland, and with him, Gunko. Soon, Shamrock had to head back due to the Holy Land of Marijoa being under attack, and immediately after, two more Holy Knights showed up, those being Rimoshifu Killingham and Shepherd Sommers. When Oda revealed their capabilities, it was increasingly clear to see that they are monsters in their own right.
We cannot beat them! They're immortal! — Saul to Robin and Chopper
Even Marine Vice Admirals or Robin can't stop them, and that means they're elites when it comes to combat. But, the biggest strength of these individuals is their Immortality. The Holy Knights cannot die, and they also regenerate from every blow they take. In other words, beating them isn't possible for most. That said, there is a way to beat them, as shown by Scopper Gaban of the Roger Pirates.
The Only Way To Beat The Holy Knights Is Using Conqueror's Haki
Gaban Has Already Revealed The Weakness Of The Holy Knights
When Scopper Gaban joined the battle against the Holy Knights, he immediately showed his capabilities, and with that, he also revealed the only way to injure the Holy Knights. The weakness of the Holy Knights, the Five Elders, and of course, Imu, is Conqueror's Haki. Gaban coated his axes in Conqueror's Haki and then diced Sommers, easily beating him in a second. Naturally, this isn't just any Haki. Gaban's Conqueror's Haki is far more advanced than that of Luffy, which means right now, Luffy cannot defeat them.
Wait, my arm isn't regenerating? — Sommers
One Piece: Oda Might Have Already Revealed Who Luffy Will End Up With, And It Isn't Nami
Romance is not a huge focus in One Piece, but Oda has hinted at who Luffy will end up with.
Luffy needs to train harder and work to improve his Haki if he truly has to defeat the likes of Imu, and that's what makes Elbaf a sort of training arc for him and the Straw Hats.
The Admirals Don't Possess Conqueror's Haki
Coming over to the Admirals, Oda confirming that using high-level Conqueror's Haki is the only way to beat the Holy Knights, the Elders, and also Imu, is basically a confirmation of the fact that they're stronger than the Admirals, mostly in a non-conventional way. While the Admirals can, and in some cases, do possess more firepower, they have no way of even scratching the Holy Knights. In a drawn-out battle, the Holy Knights would win by virtue of not falling while the Admirals would both take damage and get tired.
