He willingly gave his life, a feat that some of Luffy’s crew members may be unable to achieve.

To defeat Crocodile and liberate her country, Vivi struggled alongside the Straw Hats and bonded with them, becoming akin to a fellow crew member. After Crocodile’s defeat, it was time for the pirate crew to leave Alabasta, and whether or not they would be leaving with Vivi became a huge decision.

While it was a tough decision, Vivi ultimately decided to stay back. In this way, she remained true to her country, shouldering the burden of the citizens who needed to rebuild, rather than living a free life as a pirate.

All to keep Raizo safe, an individual that hadn’t been heard from in over 20 years, as he was also sent to the future by Toki. What makes this feat so grand is that a single person didn’t perform it; it was a whole nation of Minks without a single betrayal, despite Nekomamushi and Inuarashi losing an arm and a leg, respectively.
