This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
Summary
- Luffy is confirmed as the Sun God Nika in Wano after awakening his Devil Fruit.
- Shirahoshi is revealed to be the Sea God Poseidon, holding the power to sink the world.
- Imu remains the mysterious Earth God in hiding, with the Forest God's identity unknown.
One Piece introduced the idea of their existing godly entities not too long ago, and since then, Oda has expanded upon the concept quite a bit. Wano introduced fans to some powerful gods, with the subsequent arcs building upon that narrative, and at times, adding even more complexity to the idea.
One Piece: Oda Drops A Major Hint About The Man Who Rivaled Whitebeard On God Valley
Whitebeard had a major fight on God Valley. This man he fought rivaled him in power in One Piece.
At this point, fans already know that there exist multiple Gods in the One Piece world, and that Luffy is one of them. Confirmed to be the Sun God, Luffy plays a pivotal role in shaping the fate of the world. Just like him, three other gods exist and fans know that Oda will expand upon them very soon.
Sun God Nika Luffy Was Revealed During Wano
- Luffy Awakened The Gomu Gomu no Mi
- Luffy Is The Sun God Nika
The idea of Luffy being a god might've been absurd up until one point in the story, but Wano changed things completely. In the Wano Country arc, it was revealed to the fans that Luffy's Devil Fruit was actually the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, and that he was actually the Sun God Nika. Luffy awakened his Devil Fruit after he was beaten by Kaido.
He's the Sun God Nika, also known as the Warrior of Liberation! — Five Elders
Finally, his body caught up with his mind and he rose to the next level. With his Awakening, Luffy tapped into the power of Gear 5. Undoubtedly, Gear 5 is one of the most incredible powers in One Piece, and it makes Luffy the Warrior of Liberation. While Luffy's powers are great, he isn't the only god in the story.
Sea God Shirahoshi Was Revealed During Fishman Island
Shirahoshi’s True Powers Awakened Recently
One Piece fans know that the Ancient Weapons will go on to play a significant role in the Final Saga, and they all hold godly names. Curiously enough, one of the ancient weapons holds the name of the Sea God, Poseidon. Fans know that the Sea God in One Piece is none other than Shirahoshi and that she can sink the whole world with her power if she wishes to. Shirahoshi's identity as the Sea God doesn't come as a surprise to any One Piece fan.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed The Strongest Straw Hat Yonko Officers
The Straw Hat Pirates are a powerful Yonko crew, but of coure, not all members are equal in One Piece.
The Sea God raged, and they will never meet. — Harley
Earth God Imu Remains In Hiding
As far as the Earth God goes, fans know very little, but this individual is none other than Imu. This is because the Five Elders are named after the planets in the Solar System, with Garling being the moon, Luffy being the sun, and the three Ancient Weapons being the planets after the Elders. This only leaves behind Earth, which means that Imu himself is the Earth God. It also makes sense, given that Imu's powers likely caused a calamity that was mentioned in the Harley as well.
The Forest God's Identity Is Unknown
The Forest God was also mentioned in the Harley in One Piece’s Elbaf arc, although fans don't know exactly who the Forest God is. It is said that the Forest God created the Devil Fruits, so it is entirely possible that the Forest God will be someone with a scientific background in the Void Century. Hopefully, Oda will clarify the identity of the Forest God soon enough.
