Right after Luffy and the Straw Hats set foot in the Underworld of the country, they sensed the presence of a beast lingering in the region. Even though Loki was first introduced as a monster and somewhat of a villainous person, Luffy immediately took a liking to him, and the two almost hit it off. One Piece has since only built up their bond, and while Loki doesn't seem to be too fond of Luffy, it is clear that they are a monstrously powerful duo together that will continue to shine as the Elbaf Arc continues.
