This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
One Piece entering its final saga in late 2022 meant that the story started to inevitably approach its end. Right now, Oda is in the very least stretch of the series, and while it will likely still go on for quite a few years, it's getting closer with each passing chapter. The Final Saga having started means that Luffy and the crew will now need to be at their peaks, and above all, it means that the main villain of the story is going to take a lot of focus as well.
It's Time To Welcome The Next Marine Admirals In One Piece
The next Marine Admirals have already been revealed. They will reform the organisation in One Piece.
Most fans of One Piece assume that Blackbeard is going to be the final villain, and while that's certainly very likely, the real villain of One Piece could be none other than an honorary member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Oda has laid the groundwork for Vivi to be the final villain in One Piece, and shocking as that might sound, Vivi has a big chance of being the final One Piece villain.
Vivi Could Be The Last Villain If She's Captured By Imu
Nefertari D. Vivi is one of the most important characters in the final saga of One Piece, and fans know that very well. While she was always going to be important ever since her debut, the fact is that she's wanted by the World Government. Vivi was almost captured by the WG during the events of the Reverie, but thanks to Wapol and Morgans, she survived. That said, Imu's direct orders to the Gorosei are to get Vivi for him. Imu clearly needs Vivi because of multiple reasons, which could be as follows:
- Imu could be romantically attracted to Vivi, since she resembles Nefertari Lily in appearance and he might want to marry her.
- Imu might want a new vessel for himself.
It is clear that Imu can possess different people, and he seems to have an affinity for blue-haired individuals, such as Gunko. Vivi is just like Gunko and Lily, whom Imu seems to be attracted to. As such, Imu possessing Vivi is a very real possibility.
And one more thing, bring me Vivi at any cost. — Imu to the Five Elders
Oda Has Foreshadowed Vivi's Capture Already
Curiously enough, Oda has already foreshadowed the capture of Nefertari Vivi. While Imu ordering the Elders to capture her is quite clear, the foreshadowing comes from Igaram, who told Vivi that if she drifts off on her own, she could be captured by a giant bird. In Japanese folklore, the Itsumade is a giant bird, and Mars wields this power. It is very likely that at some point, Marcus Mars will find the hideout of Morgans and kidnap Vivi.
One Piece Author Oda Reveals Luffy's Biggest Weakness
Luffy has a major weakness in One Piece. This weakness must be addressed in Elbaf.
What if a giant Itsumade bird comes and kidnaps you? — Igaram to Vivi before Reverie
Vivi Vs Luffy Could Happen In The Final Arc Of One Piece
If Vivi is captured in One Piece, then it is very likely that she will be made the Final Villain of the story. Of course, she would need saving and Luffy and the crew will have to try their best to do that. Imu would go on to possess Vivi and Luffy will have to fight against her to free her from Imu's control. This is going to be an absolutely phenomenal fight that fans will come to love. Curiously enough, Luffy and Vivi have already fought once in the desert in the Arabasta arc of One Piece.
Perhaps, that fight could be a foreshadowing of their future battle as well. Only Luffy can save Vivi if she is captured by the World Government, which is very likely at this point, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see that.
