After years of making the fans wait, Oda has finally introduced Rocks D. Xebec in the story properly with One Piece chapter 1154. It can be said that Rocks is an absolute monster, given that their strength was painted to be even higher than that of Whitebeard and Roger. One Piece chapter 1154 hyped up Rocks even more as fans were told that he managed to kill a Navy Admiral before even hitting his peak years and forming the Rocks Pirates crew.

Even Roger couldn't beat Rocks on his own, and quite clearly, such a figure must've been a major threat to the World Government. Rocks must've been incredibly close to the same power level as Joy Boy, and if that is the case, then Imu must've been incredibly threatened by him.

July 13 will be major for One Piece fans, and for more than one reason.
Of course, it is said that 38 years ago, Rocks D. Xebec met his end at God Valley, where he was beaten by Roger and Garp. But, the full truth about this has never been shown.
Rocks's Death Was Never Fully Confirmed
Oda never truly confirmed Rocks's Death in One Piece. All he said was that God Valley vanished after the events of the incident. Of course, Sengoku believes that Rocks is no longer with them, but that is his perspective, not a fact, especially since Sengoku wasn't even on God Valley, and the only person who was, Garp, refuses to talk about the event.
In many ways, Rocks could still be alive and pave the way for a major war that is going to start soon in One Piece. In that case, Rocks could be the lurking legend that Oda talked about years ago, and he could very well stand in the path of all the powerful Yonko, or maybe even better revealed as the ultimate antagonist of the Final Saga. All possibilities are on the table right now, and things couldn't be more exciting.
