Luffy created the Straw Hat Pirates right at the beginning of One Piece, and since then, this crew has gone from strength to strength. The East Blue recruits of the Straw Hat Pirates included the likes of Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. The crew then moved to the Grand Line, where more pirates went on to join them. Luffy was joined by Vivi temporarily, and after that, by Chopper, who was then followed by Nico Robin.

Franky was the next to follow in the Water 7 Saga, and finally, Brook joined as the musician of the Straw Hat Pirates in the Thriller Bark arc. It was a long time before a new pirate went on to join the Straw Hat Pirates, and fans had to wait officially until Wano for that to happen. In the Wano arc, Jinbe joined the crew officially, and now, there is space only for one more crew member. In Oda's recent Egghead drafts, it's been revealed that he might want Bonney to be a part of the Straw Hat Pirates as the final member.

One Piece fans have long wanted to know who the final member of the Straw Hat Pirates will be. When Luffy set out on his journey to become the Pirate King, he made it quite clear that he wanted 10 members. Oda himself referenced Luffy wanting 10 members under him in an interview with another mangaka, once again reaffirming the fact that Luffy wants to be joined by 10 pirates on his journey. Right now, the Straw Hat crew has 9 members, and that means there is room for one more pirate on the ship. At the moment, it seems like Oda is giving serious thought to making Bonney the final Straw Hat.

One Piece Is Officially Forced To Go On Break Due To Oda's Health
Oda is not doing well, and One Piece fans are worried.
In the most recent release of the Egghead drafts from Eiichiro Oda, a new sketch of Jewelry Bonney has been revealed. In this sketch, Bonney can officially be seen wearing the legendary Straw Hat of Luffy. Fans would remember that Luffy placed the Straw Hat on Nami’s head long ago when she joined the crew. To this day, Nami remains one of the very few people to ever wear the Straw Hat. The fact that Oda had Bonney wear the Straw Hat is a strong indicator that she could join the crew officially.

Fans Want Bonney To Join The Crew
While Bonney is a big contender for the last Straw Hat spot, there are others who could fit very well too. In Elbaf, Luffy has officially asked Loki to join the crew. For now, Loki doesn't seem to be interested in being a Straw Hat, but that could change after he fights alongside Luffy against Imu. There is also Vivi, who fans know very well needs a place to belong to at the moment. She's already been a part of the crew once and could easily rejoin the crew as the final member. Soon, Oda will reveal to the fans who the final Straw Hat will officially be, but for now, it seems that Bonney might just be his pick.
