Despite not having any Devil Fruit, Roger managed to rise to the very top and he did all that using just his Haki alone. When it comes to Haki, no character and One Piece is on the same level as Roger, and while fans have seen only glimpses of his life so far, they already know that Roger was a monstrous Haki user and he could do amazing things with the user of his Haki.

5 Could Sense Voices

Haki Type: Observation Haki

Roger was a user of all three Haki types and that is not a surprise to any fan. When it comes to Observation Haki, fans know that Roger could utilize an advanced variant of this power. Roger could hear voices of people around him and also sense voices of the Sea Kings.

While the voice of all things is an ability that appears to be somewhat different from Observation Haki, it is still an extension of the same ability. Roger could utilize this power brilliantly and that makes him an incredible user of the Color of Observation.

4 Sent Oden Crashing With Kamusari

Haki Type: Conqueror's Haki

Gol D Roger in Oden's flashback

When it comes to the ability to utilize Conqueror's Haki, fans have seen Roger use some of the most overpowered abilities in the story already. He launched a powerful Conqueror's Haki blast at Oden with his blade, Ace. This technique, known as Kamusari, is launched from a distance. Roger was seen channeling Conqueror's Haki and Armament Haki in his blade to the maximum output and then launching a powerful blast at Oden.

This attack was so strong that despite Oden managing to block it, it knocked him back through several large structures and made him cough up blood. Credit to Oden, he did not pass out from this attack and wanted to continue fighting against Roger, however, this technique was such that even he was dumbfounded at what he was hit with.

3 Matched Whitebeard's Haki

Haki Type: Conqueror's Haki

Roger and Whitebeard clash

One of the most incredible displays of Conqueror's Haki that fans have seen in the series came when Whitebeard and Roger managed to clash in the Grand Line for one last time. During this clash, Roger channeled his Conqueror's and Armament Haki through his blade, Ace, and matched Whitebeard's Murakumogiri.

Their Haki was so powerful that everyone else in the surroundings either passed out or was blown away by the sheer force of it. Roger was easily able to match Whitebeard’s Haki level and that is an incredible feat in itself.

2 Managed To Tie A Battle With Whitebeard

Haki Used: All Three

When Roger fought Whitebeard, the battle that lasted for many days ended in a tie. This is actually an incredible Haki feat by Roger, given that he has no other ability up his sleeve. When it comes to Whitebeard, fans know that he has the power of the strongest Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that can even destroy the world.

On top of that, he has access to all three types of Haki. Roger himself has just the three Haki times and, despite Whitebeard having a significant advantage over him, the battle ended in a tie. This clearly implied that Roger's usage of Haki was far better than Whitebeard's and leveled the playfield using its superiority. Although the full display of this Haki was not shown, it is quite clear that Roger utilized this ability at a higher level.

1 Conquered The Seas Without A Devil Fruit

Haki Used: All Three

By far, Roger's Biggest Haki feat is that he managed to conquer the seas without any Devil Fruit. His Haki transcended that of any other pirate and that is something that Kaido confirmed in the Wano arc. Kaido believed the Devil Fruits are a major power source, however, in the end, it is only Haki that manages to transcend all forms of power and take one to the very top.

This is precisely why Kaido trained his Haki as well as he did and why, in the end, only through a combination of great Haki and Devil Fruit powers can Luffy surpass Roger. Given that Roger is the only one who managed to conquer the seas, it is a given that he operated Haki at the highest of levels. Hopefully, fans will get proper glimpses of this in the future, when the Roger Pirates get some more focus through some flashback.
