Fans know Franky to be strong enough to rival and even defeat a Tobiroppo-level opponent in One Piece, but he isn't an elite pirate quite yet. If Franky is to support Luffy on the path to becoming the Pirate King, he needs to get much stronger, and fans will definitely see just that happen in the Elbaf arc of the story. Oda has already set the basis for Franky receiving a major power-up in this arc of One Piece.

When the Straw Hat Pirates split up on Elbaf, Franky went with Ripley to travel across the Adam Tree, and this made a lot of sense, given that Franky is very interested in Adam Trees in general. Oda showcased the Harley mural to the fans through the character of Franky, and this already told the fans that his part in Elbaf is going to be absolutely massive.

Fans then got to see the two biggest weaknesses of Elbaf through Franky, those being fire and lightning, and finally, in One Piece chapter 1144, Oda revealed to the fans q science facility in Elbaf from 3000 years ago. According to Ripley, this is what she wanted to show Franky the most, and that essentially means that this part is going to be the most significant for Franky, and that it'll tie directly to a major power-up for him.

Previously, when Franky discovered an abandoned facility, he upgraded himself massively. This was before the two-year timeskip of One Piece, where he discovered the facility in Bulgemore. This time around, he's found one in Elbaf, and he'll definitely incorporate some powerful technology into his body. Be it advanced weaponry with lasers, or stronger giant-inspired weapons, Franky will get stronger.

Most importantly, fans should expect Franky to create a new mecha, and upgrade upon Franky Shogun, with an even bigger and stronger version that can fight side by side with the Giants but is capable of much more, including flight.
