Vivi being important in the Final Saga of One Piece was a given. After all, Oda had Already decided that she was going to return around the time of the Reverie. At this year's Reverie, a ton of exciting events took place, and fans already know that. Most importantly, however, Imu revealed themself, Arabasta lost its King, Vivi was kidnapped, and the Shichibukai system was abolished.

Quite clearly, Vivi's disappearance was a big issue and it was all linked to Imu. Fans know there is a deep connection between Imu and the Nefertari family. Imu was seemingly obsessed with Lily, and might even be in possession of her body right now. At the same time, Imu is obsessed with Vivi as well. They even ordered the Five Elders to secure Vivi at any cost, which means that sooner or later, she could fall into their hands and become a pawn for Imu to use.
Naturally, fans would wonder how Imu would use Vivi, but the answer is clear already. Oda showed Imu using possession in the Elbaf arc. This time, the target was Gunko, but in the future, the target of their power could very well be Vivi. If Imu controls Vivi and can only channel their full power through her, then Luffy would have to fight her.

If Vivi falls into the hands of the Celestial Dragons, then Imu could very well use a former Straw Hat against them, and that would make for a heartbreaking battle. At the same time, it would keep the fans on the edge of their seats, and it would also give Luffy his toughest challenge ever. After all, Vivi is a former Straw Hat. She sailed with the crew from Whiskey Peak all the way to Arabasta, and she even considers herself a Straw Hat.

Will Vivi Ever Rejoin The Crew?
The Chances Are There, But An Adventure Is Unlikely
The chances of Vivi rejoining the crew are high. But, if she falls into Imu's hands, then it would be incredibly difficult for her to adventure with the Straw Hat crew again. It all depends on how Oda wants things to play out. Vivi could evade Imu, and if she succeeds, then it is a guarantee that she will rejoin the Straw Hat Pirates.
On the other hand, if Imu gets to her first, then she'll be used against the Straw Hats, possibly as One Piece's Final villain, and in this case, she'll be unable to sail with the crew again.
