One Piece fans are hoping Nico Robin gets her moment to shine in Elbaf and unlock a long-overdue power, Haki. Even the most random characters in One Piece sometimes have Haki, but among the Straw Hats, only four members can adequately use it. This might change soon with Nico Robin in Elbaf.
One Piece: Oda Just Introduced A New Power Even Stronger Than Haki
Haki and Devil Fruits are powerful, but Oda introduced a power even greater in One Piece.
Nico Robin Might Get Haki In Elbaf
Fans Think This Is Long Overdue
The Elbaf arc of One Piece has been a sensation so far, and most fans have been loving it. The story has been full of lore reveals and has showcased an interesting new group of villains, the Holy Knights.
The Elbaf arc seems to be quite unique compared to anything seen before in One Piece, and fans have very high expectations for it.
Over the course of the last few chapters, the Straw Hat Pirates, notably Nami, Jinbe, Brook, and Usopp, were defeated by one Holy Knight, Gunko. Meanwhile, Robin and Chopper hid from another Holy Knight, Sommers, as he defeated Saul. Fans were upset at this, but things seem to be turning now.
Nico Robin, one of the most beloved characters in the series, has taken a stance and is ready to take on Sommers. Fans of the series are confident this might be where Robin learns Haki, especially as she will be joined by the left hand of the Pirate King, Scopper Gaban.
Gaban would be more than capable of teaching her Haki, which she definitely needs. The enemies the Straw Hats are facing are only getting stronger, and it makes the Final Saga very difficult if only four of their members know Haki.
I won't let them! — Robin and Gaban in One Piece 1147
It’s long overdue for Nico Robin to learn Haki. After all, she spent time with the Revolutionary Army during her two-year training, where she could have learned it. Now is better than never, however. It’s not just fans who want Nico Robin to get Haki. If rumors are to be believed, even her Japanese voice actress, Yuriko Yamaguchi, has directly asked Oda himself to give Robin Haki, to which he replied that he would see, even though he hadn’t decided yet. Of course, the authenticity behind this is still up for debate. Nonetheless, the point remains that Robin needs Haki as an elite officer of the Straw Hat Pirates.
This battle is especially important for her as she needs to avenge her long friend, Saul, who was beaten up by Sommers. Additionally, the Holy Knights are planning to burn the library and all its books, which Robin just can’t let happen.
Which Type of Haki Should Robin Get?
Robin Needs Armament Haki The Most
Ideally, a character should be able to use both types of Haki, Armament and Observation. But that’s not always the case. Some characters who aren’t fully battle-focused will learn one or the other, or at least just specialize in one.
Fans hope that Nico Robin unlocks both types of Haki, but if she only gets one, then most fans hope that she gets Armament Haki.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed The Weakness Of The Holy Knights' Immortality
The Holy Knights are immortal. Oda has already hinted at the counter to their immortality in One Piece.
Observation would be very useful for her, as it would help her dodge attacks and sense threats from a distance, but the reason Armament would be better for her is mostly due to her Devil Fruit ability.
With the Hana Hana no mi, Nico Robin can sprout body parts anywhere, but that comes with a risk of injury if they’re hurt. Being able to use Armament Haki would keep her safer and allow her to unleash her attacks more.
Additionally, Nico Robin made use of a new form in Wano against Black Maria, Demonio Fleur. This form, with haki coating, would definitely be a huge threat and a great power-up for her.
When it comes to Conqueror’s Haki, it’s unlikely Nico Robin will unlock it as only a few are born with it. She has great conviction, but it doesn’t seem to be something Oda would go for.
