This post contains spoilers for One Piece.

The One Piece anime has moved on from Bartholomew Kuma's flashback, and it's moved to the current timeline, where the Straw Hats are at risk of being exterminated by Jaygarcia Saturn and the Marines. The Godhead traveled to Egghead Island to personally deal with Vegapunk's betrayal.

Jaygarcia Saturn is indubitably a megalomaniac, and he takes pride in his work. In the last couple of episodes, fans saw Saturn admitting to experimenting on Ginny and even Bonney.

Bartholomew Kuma Saves Bonney From Saturn

Kuma Comes To His Daughter's Rescue

One Piece Episode 1138 once again highlighted Kuma's resolve. Despite losing his consciousness, he kept on fighting for Bonney. He put his body on the line to save her from incoming attacks. Everyone on Egghead Island was shocked by Kuma's actions. They couldn't believe that he could go so far to keep his daughter safe.

Jaygarcia Saturn did not take too kindly to Kuma surviving the self-destruction process. He even blamed Vegapunk for it, but the scientist was just as clueless.

Sanji and Franky also got some much-needed screen time in the episode. Sanji deflected one of Saturn's attacks, which helped prevent further casualties. Meanwhile, Franky attacked Saturn with a Radical Beam that pierced the latter's body. Franky was busy celebrating, so he was unaware of what was happening around him, which gave Kizaru the perfect chance to sneak up on him.

The Admiral was put out of action temporarily by Luffy but has since recovered. It looks like Kizaru is ready to join the fray and put an end to the war on Egghead Island. Previously, the Admiral gave Luffy food, indicating he didn't want the World Government to win. However, he cannot openly rebel against the organization, which is why he will fight against Luffy and his allies.

  • The Buster Call will begun in One Piece Episode 1139
  • New episode will see Straw Hats fighting for their lives

One Piece Episode 1139 will be released on August 10, 2025. It is titled "Destroy Egghead - The Buster Call is Invoked." One Piece has built a notorious reputation for divulging major plot details in the episode title, and that isn't going to change anytime soon. In Episode 1139, the Marines will commence the Buster Call on Egghead Island. Fans are aware that the Buster Call is dangerous, and it can easily annihilate an entire island. The Straw Hat Pirates already have a truckload of problems, and now they will have to deal with the Buster Call.

The main purpose of the Buster Call is to eradicate Vegapunk and his satellites. Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn is not willing to take risks, and he wants to be thorough in his approach. In the preview, Vegapunk can be seen pleading to Jaygarcia Saturn and Kizaru for the withdrawal of the troops and Buster Call because of its importance to the future of the world.

But it's quite obvious that the Godhead has no interest in the world or its future. He has stated numerous times that he thinks of people as nothing but insects. Therefore, he has absolutely no qualms about murdering all the people on Egghead Island.

Considering the firepower of the Marines, it is rather apparent that the Straw Hats have little chance of survival. They desperately need outside intervention, but the question is who will help them. The most obvious choice will be the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Since its inception, the Grand Fleet has been involved in almost zero important events. So, this could be their big break.
