After her operation finished, Bonney was sent to the Sorbet Kingdom, where she remained under the care of the previous queen, Conney. She was supposed to stay in the kingdom for the prescribed time. During her stay, Kuma wrote her tons of letters, but they never reached Bonney, and it was all because of Alpha. The Cipher Pol agent intercepted all the letters, preventing them from ever reaching Bonney.

Naturally, the young girl was perplexed as to why Kuma didn't write to her. The wise queen Conney grew suspicious of Alpha's behavior. When the undercover agent refused to let Bonney go out to the sea, Conney realized that Alpha was not what she pretended to be.

Eventually, Conney and the townspeople decided to help Bonney get away from the island. They concocted a plan to put Bonney on a ship along with a few trustworthy people. Bonney used her Devil Fruit to trick Alpha, but the latter ultimately figured that something was amiss. So, she decided to confront Bonney, who was already on the ship.

The Cipher Pol agent was confident in her Rokushiki skills and believed that they would be enough to stop Bonney. However, she had no idea that Bonney could tap into the power of alternate futures. Bonney leaped in the air and enlarged her fist, exactly like Luffy's Gear 3rd, and she called it Nika-Like-Future. Bonney was able to tap into the future because of her creativity. She remembered the conversations with her father about Nika and his powers. So, she imagined herself using the same kind of ability.
