Throughout the entirety of the anime/manga industry, there is perhaps no team or group that is more iconic than the Straw Hats from One Piece. Since the start of the series, this group of misfits has been together and has seen most of the world at this point, leading to many important moments for all ten of them.
Because of this, each member of this crew has undergone incredible battles and instances that have made fans take a step back. So, in this article, let's go over the most OP moments of each member of the Straw Hat Pirates to go over why they are all such incredible and memorable characters in the One Piece story.
One Piece: The Most Important Person For Each Straw Hat, Explained
Every one of the Straw Hats began their journeys due to the influence of one person over everyone else, so let's see who this is for them!
Jimbei's Fight Against Who's-Who Showed His Incredible Fishman Karate
Story Arc: Wano
- A formidable warrior.
As one of the only Straw Hats who has the ability to use Haki in any form, Jimbei has always been a powerful fighter, and this was on full display in his battle against Who's-Who during the Wano arc. Here, he demonstrated that there is more to being a warrior than just Haki or Devil Fruits as he used his mastery of Fishman Karate in conjunction with his Armament Haki in order to deal an incredible amount of damage to his enemy, showing exactly why he was once a Warlord of the Sea.
Brook Stood Up To One Of The Strongest Pirates Ever
Story Arc: Wholecake Island
- A humbling experience for an Emperor.
Brook always steals almost every single scene that he is in, and his role during the events of the Wholecake Island arc is a testament to this. While he does have fights during this arc, he shines most when he manages to steal Big Mom's Road Poneglyph rubbings after sustaining a lot of damage, at one point also delivering one of the best and most humbling replies in the series when he calls Big Mom, an Emperor of the Sea and one of history's strongest pirates, a young lady.
One Piece: 32 Strongest Swordsmen, Ranked
Considering its swashbuckling setting, it's unsurprising that talented swordfighters populate One Piece. Here are the strongest of the lot.
Franky Unleashes His Strongest Form Against Sasaki
Story Arc: Wano
- His strongest state.
Franky has always been a fan-favorite character because of his whacky personality and inventions. During the Wano arc, Franky had to fight against Sasaki, a formidable member of the Tobiroppo with a Triceratops Ancient Zoan. Despite Sasaki's strength, Franky's futuristic technology and mechanical genius made him far too difficult for the villain to deal with as he used his ultimate form, General Franky, to deal the decisive blow against his foe.
Chopper Shone During The Onigashima Raid
Story Arc: Wano
- The MVP of the arc.
When Chopper first underwent his Monster Point transformation, he was a massive beast with incredible strength who couldn't control his own power. However, following the time skip, he unlocked the ability to use it without losing control, which he perfectly showcased during the Wano arc when he even managed to briefly spar against Queen. However, Chopper's greatest moment was when he found out how to reverse the Ice Oni Virus, which allowed him to save everyone present there.
14 One Piece Characters Stronger Than Zoro And Sanji
Zoro and Sanji are strong, but at the moment, they are still outclassed by these One Piece characters.
Nami Refused To Accept Anyone Else As The Pirate King
Story Arc: Wano
- A legendary moment.
In One Piece, it is quite evident that things don't need to be flashy to be considered stand-out moments. Nami has never been a fighter, so her greatest moment isn't one where she defeats a powerful foe; rather, it's when she is getting pummeled by Ulti but still refuses to say anyone other than Luffy can be the Pirate King. It's a belief she holds so deep in her bones that she can't even bring herself to say it to save herself, showing that her conviction and loyalty to her captain are some of the greatest in the series.
Usopp Stands Up For The Entire Tontatta Tribe
Story Arc: Dressrosa
- Usopp's greatest moment.
Many fans believe that Usopp has been wasted ever since the time skip, but none can deny his incredible role during the Dressrosa arc. Known for being a coward, Usopp swallows all of his fears and awakens an uncharacteristic sense of heroism in order to stand up for the Tontatta tribe, proclaiming that he will be their hero of legend despite not even being able to dish out much damage. This incredible moment has a trickle-down effect, and his direct input is what causes Sugar to faint and her Devil Fruit power to fail.
It's Time To Welcome Zoro's Next Powerful Sword In One Piece
Zoro has a huge upgrade ahead of him, and it all has to do with a new sword he will acquire in One Piece.
Nico Robin Steps Up After Sanji Asks Her To Help Him
Story Arc: Wano
- Robin's strongest ability.
Each of the Straw Hat Pirates plays an indispensable role in the crew, which means that not everyone is a fighter. Though Robin is the archaeologist, she has proven to be quite strong, especially in her fight with Black Maria during the events of Wano. Here, she used her Devil Fruit powers to their greatest degree, transforming herself into a demonic form with multiple limbs that allowed her to defeat a fairly powerful Ancient Zoan user.
Sanji Finally Awakened His Germa Powers Against Queen
Story Arc: Wano
- Sanji's greatest power-up.
People were expecting the battle between the three main fighters of the Straw Hats and the Beast Pirates to be epic, and they certainly didn't disappoint. Here, Sanji fought Queen in an incredible fight that eventually became one-sided once Sanji unlocked the full extent of his latent Germa powers, making him astronomically faster and making his flames burn hotter than ever before. This power-up made Sanji a deadly warrior and one of the strongest fighters in the entire series.

Zoro's Fight Against King Cemented Him As The King Of Hell
Story Arc: Wano
- The best fight in the series.
In what fans have dubbed the best fight of One Piece, the second-in-comand of both the Straw Hats and Beast Pirates fought in one of the most incredible and cinematic battles in the history of anime. Here, Zoro used everything he had, including Conqueror's Haki, in order to unlock a power so great that he was at death's door after using it. Though the fight was close, Zoro's Dragon Damnation attack managed to bypass even the durability of a Lunarian, cementing him as the King of Hell.
Luffy Brought Down A Fist the Size Of An Island On Kaido
Story Arc: Wano
- Luffy unleashes the strongest attack ever seen.
The clash between legendary Conqueror's Haki users was always going to be one for the books. Upon losing to Kaido multiple times, Luffy finally awoke his Gear 5 Nika form, which he used against the World's Strongest Creature, eventually unleashing his strongest attack ever; the Bajrang Gun. This attack was so powerful and so massive that it dwarfed even the island of Onigashima and sent Kaido straight down to the depths of Wano, bringing an end to the arc and lasting peace to the land.
