Some of these Devil Fruits mean trouble for the World Government, like the Nika fruit or the Yami Yami no Mi. The World Government definitely would prefer to eradicate those.

Gomu Gomu no Mi

• Type: Mythical Zoan
• User: Monkey D. Luffy

The Gomu Gomu no Mi is the first Devil Fruit fans saw in action in the One Piece series. After all, it’s used by One Piece’s beloved protagonist, Luffy. This Devil Fruit had a lot kept secret from the readers. Its real name isn’t the Gomu Gomu no Mi, and it certainly isn’t a Paramecia. Instead, its real name is the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, and it’s a Mythical Zoan.

This Devil Fruit might just be the most dangerous for the World Government, as it turns the person who eats it into the Warrior of Liberation, Nika. This is definitely a Devil Fruit the World Government would like to eradicate.

Yami Yami no Mi

• Type: Logia
• User: Blackbeard

Logia-type Devil Fruits were all the hype at one point in One Piece, especially before most characters could use Haki. One Logia Devil Fruit, however, that is still worth all the attention is the Yami Yami no Mi, or the Darkness Devil Fruit. This Devil Fruit was stolen and eaten by Blackbeard, and its powers aren’t to be underestimated.

This Devil Fruit allows one to absorb and cancel Devil Fruit abilities, which is quite a tremendous advantage. The Yami Yami ni Mi could be a huge threat to the World Government, especially when wielded by the descendant of Xebec.

Gura Gura no Mi

• Type: Paramecia
• User: Whitebeard (Previously), Blackbeard

Only one Devil Fruit in One Piece is described to be able to destroy the world, and it’s the Gura Gura no Mi. This Devil Fruit was previously wielded by the world’s strongest man, Whitebeard, before being ripped away by Blackbeard during the Summit War arc. The Gura Gura no Mi is one of the most dangerous powers, and definitely one that the World Government would prefer to have on their side, or completely erased.

Loki's Devil Fruit

• User: Loki

Loki has been quite a peculiar addition to the One Piece story. Fans had heard about him long before his official introduction in Elbaf, but now, he is definitely getting interesting. Loki claims to have the power of the Nika Devil Fruit. This is, of course, not true, but whatever Loki has should also be insanely overpowered because everyone in Elbaf believes that he holds the power to destroy not just Elbaf but the whole world.

This would have to be a Devil Fruit that the World Government doesn’t want falling into the wrong hands. Loki will likely have a Mythical Zoan for some One Piece deity, but the full reveal is yet to be made.

Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu

• Type: Mythical Zoan
• User: Kaido, Momonosuke (Smile Copy)

Kaido was known as the strongest creature in the One Piece world, and for good reasons. This beast commanded a powerful Yonko crew who could take down most people. What made Kaido so fearsome, however, was in huge part his Devil Fruit. His Devil Fruit was the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, which allowed him to turn into an eastern dragon with almost impenetrable scales.

Kaido fell in Wano, and it’s possible that he died. His Devil Fruit might be now in circulation, but either way, his Devil Fruit SMILE copy is in possession of Momo, who could be a huge threat to the World Government.

One Piece Chapter 1159 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12 AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on August 31. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1159 is September 7, 2025.
