The Seraphims are powerful Pacifista that were created by none other than the genius Dr. Vegapunk. They have played a great role in One Piece's final saga and, as the story continues, their role will grow even more. The very first of the Seraphims that the fans saw were S-Snake and S-Hawk and they made their debut when Amazon Lily was invaded. Shortly afterwards, the Egghead Island arc began and fans got to see other Seraphims, such as S-Bear, and S-Shark as well.
In One Piece chapter 1086, fans were introduced to a few more Seraphims and one among them particularly caught the eyes of the fans, that is, the Seraphim of Sir Crocodile.
The Creation Of Crocodile's Seraphim
Crocodiles Seraphim is something that fans expected to have been created by Dr. Vegapunk. By the looks of it, every single member of the former Shichibukai has had their Seraphim created by Vegapunk and Crocodile is no exception. While it is unknown where exactly this Seraphim is right now, it was created on Egghead Island, as confirmed by one of the bodies of a Vegapunk himself. There are two keys to the creation of Seraphim and the very first one is cloning. The process of cloning was completed by Dr. Vegapunk a long time ago and this was confirmed to the fans through Stussy very recently in the story.
Vegapunk can create perfect clones by using the Lineage Factor, which consists of the secrets of life and is considered to be its blueprint itself. Using this power, Vegapunk perfectly cloned Crocodile and, somehow, created a child version of him. Interestingly, the scars that crocodile possesses are also possessed by his Seraphim, which will likely be named S-Croc. This implies that the Seraphims are an aged-down version of the current Warlords and that they carry all injuries that the parent bodies have received.
The second most important thing in the creation of S-Croc is Green Blood. Green Blood was created recently by Dr Vegapunk and, this power also comes from his discovery of the Lineage Factor. Essentially, Vegapunk manufactured his own blood by working on Devil Fruits and extracting their Lineage Factor. Having this blood run through the veins of his Seraphims gives them the abilities of Devil Fruits themselves and this is nothing short of incredible. Fans have already seen this Green Blood coursing through the veins of the likes of S-Snake, S-Hawk, S-Shark, and S-Bear. S-Snake and S-Bear possess the Devil Fruit powers that their original user possesses as well.
In the case of S-Snake, this power is the Mero Mero no Mi, which allows her to petrify anyone who shows any sign of affection or attraction towards her. In the case of S-Bear, this power is the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, and fans are already seeing him use it on Egghead Island to perfection. For the former Warlords who did not possess a Devil Fruit ability, Vegapunk decided to give them one and, in the case of S-Hawk, this was the Supa Supa no Mi, which actually belongs to Mr. One of the Baroque Works. In the case of S-Shark, this power is the Sui Sui no Mi, which belongs to none other than Senor Pink of the Donquixote Family. Naturally, this Green Blood will also cause through the veins of S-Croc.
The Devil Fruit Power Of Crocodile's Seraphim
Since Crocodile has a Devil Fruit power, one would assume that S-Croc would have the Devil Fruit abilities of its parent body. However, that is likely not going to be the case. This is simply down to the fact that Green Blood can only be created from the Paramecia type of Devil Fruit. Vegapunk himself confirmed that creating logia abilities proved to be a task that is too difficult and requires quite a lot of time as well as money. For now, he has only managed to recreate Mythical Zoan powers, which he believes can even be Awakened, and Paramecia powers, which he has created using Green Blood. Logia powers, such as Crocodile's Suna Suna no Mi, cannot be recreated. Thus, S-Croc will most likely have a completely different Devil Fruit ability and that is certainly very intriguing.
Green Blood is a core part of all the Seraphims and Crocodile will certainly have it as well. The question remains, what Devil Fruit ability will he have up his sleeve? For now, fans do not know the answer to this question, however, as always, it can be speculated upon. There are quite a few Devil Fruits that behave somewhat similarly to the Suna Suna no Mi. The one that behaves quite close to it is Mori Mori no Mi which was eaten by Admiral Aramaki of the Navy. It allows the user to suck out the water content from the bodies of living things and dehydrate them entirely within a matter of seconds using roots. Sadly, this ability is also a Logia type and cannot be used by Crocodile's Seraphim.
This brings fans over to the Shibo Shibo no Mi, which is currently in possession of Charlotte Smoothie. This Devil Fruit is quite similar as it allows Smoothie to wring out fluids from anybody, dehydrating them in the process. The user of this Devil Fruit can also absorb moisture from the air and grow in size tremendously. Crocodile could very well have this power through Green Blood, since it is a Paramecia ability, however, the problem is, Smoothie has never met Vegapunk, as far as fans know. In fact, she has also not been captured and, there has never arisen an opportunity for Vegapunk to clone her ability. So, while it could be in possession of S-Croc, the chances for that to be the case are low.
This brings fans over to another intriguing ability, that is, the Sabi Sabi no Mi. This Devil Fruit also belongs to the Paramecia class and was eaten by Shu of the Navy. It allows the user to set rust to any metallic object. Zoro's sword, Yubashiri was completely destroyed using this Devil Fruit power. While not the same as dehydration, it is an ability that Crocodile's Seraphim could possess.
Another intriguing ability that Crocodile's Seraphim could have is Bon Clay's Mane Mane no Mi. While there certainly isn't any connection between this Devil Fruit ability and what Crocodile's Suna Suna no Mi does, Bon Clay was once an underling of Sir Crocodile. Oda could very well use this as the reason to give him the ability of Bon Clay, who was also in Impel Down with Crocodile. This would also be a very overpowered ability for Crocodile's Seraphim to have and could create a lot of chaos, especially if this Seraphim is on Egghead Island.
How Strong Is Crocodile's Seraphim
Regardless of what Devil Fruit ability Crocodile's Seraphim possesses, it is going to be incredibly powerful, despite him just being a child. Crocodile's Seraphim will have every single ability of the Lunarian race – a defensive exterior that is impossible to penetrate as long as the flames on its back are burning. The offensive powers of this seraphim are going to be incredible as well. Of course, much of it depends on which Devil Fruit power this Seraphim will have, however, even without it, fans can expect great things from it.
The Seraphims also hold a somewhat similar personality to their parent users, which means that Crocodile's Seraphim could be full of ambition and guile. Fans can't wait to see more from Crocodile's Seraphim in the future of One Piece and, hopefully, Oda will give it a pronounced role as the story moves forward.
