Yami Yami no Mi

Grants the Power to Cancel Devil Fruit Abilities

Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, was after a specific fruit for a long time — the Yami Yami no Mi. Blackbeard wanted this fruit for a good reason, as it is one of the best fruits in the series and it offers a special ability, the power to cancel Devil Fruits.

Indeed, the Yami Yami no Mi can absorb anything, including powers granted by Devil Fruits. This fruit would make no exception for Luffy’s Nika form, if Teach ever got his hands on him.

High-Level Conqueror's Haki

Devil Fruits are the main power system in One Piece, but Haki is the King. While Devil Fruits offer diverse and different abilities, Haki is more reliable. A One Piece top-tier can get away with not having a Devil Fruit, but not having Haki is not an option.

The Ope Ope no Mi is one of the most legendary and sought-after fruits in the One Piece world. At the moment, it is wielded by the Worst Generation member, Trafalgar D. Water Law. The abilities this fruit offers are numerous, and it’s one of the most versatile and useful fruits one can have.

When it comes to countering Luffy’s Nika form, its soul-switching technique can come into play. Law has shown during Punk Hazard how he can switch the souls of different individuals. If he were to switch Luffy’s soul to another body, his Nika form would basically be useless, countering it effectively.

Toshi Toshi no Mi

The Power to Imagine Any Future

The Toshi Toshi no Mi, which is a Devil Fruit currently in possession of Jewelry Bonney, surprised many fans with its powers. Initially, people simply thought this Devil Fruit allowed Bonney to modify her age and that of others. This is already a powerful ability, but it doesn’t even scratch the surface of what this fruit is actually capable of.

In Egghead, fans saw the potential of the Toshi Toshi no Mi. Simply put, Bonney can turn into any future that she thinks is possible. That's exactly how it could be used as a counter for Luffy’s Nika fruit. Bonney, with her Distorted Future, was able to use Gear 5. This makes her the only person aside from Luffy who can access this power and nullify it.
