One Piece is home to Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, all of whom are powerful grown-ups with unique abilities. Before they received large bounties on their heads, they were children with terrifying potential that set them apart from everyone else around them.
8 One Piece Arcs With The Best Action, Ranked
The following One Piece arcs have some of the best action in the series. Here's how they stack up.
And speaking of children, One Piece is also home to some of the most gifted children with massive potential to become the next generation of emperors, monsters, and even kings and queens of the sea. From self-made talents to prodigies, here are the children fans should watch out for in One Piece.
This list includes child characters from anime-only story arcs of One Piece.
Mr. Beans
Mr. Beans is one of the few children in One Piece bold enough to deceive Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates. At such a young age, Mr. Beans has already begun building a flourishing bounty hunter career, proving that ambition and cunning aren’t limited by age.
Mr. Beans worked under Baroque Works, alongside Miss Catherine. He also reported to top agents, including Miss Monday, Mr. 9, Mr. 8, and even Vivi herself. Armed with a small dagger and a flintlock, Mr. Beans loves to take advantage of gullible people who fall for his schemes.
Lil
Born into the bounty-hunting family of Accino, Lil likes to use her youth to manipulate people. She is bold enough to befriend Nico Robin and even call her “elder sister,” going so far as to trick her into believing she would divulge vital intel, only to twist the situation to her benefit.
In regard to her abilities, Lil can summon fish birds through a capsule to assist her family in their bounty-hunting business. She even stole the Jolly Roger of the Straw Hat Pirates with this ability. Interestingly, she can also control plants reminiscent of someone with a Grow-Grow devil fruit.
Olga Myskina
The One Piece special, Heart of Gold, introduced fans to Olga Myskina, a 206-year-old girl with a six-year-old appearance. She owned a fascinating ring that prevented her from aging, technically making her immortal.
Aside from her magical ring, Olga also has a pet water lizard named Elizabeth, who is always at her beck and call. No matter what Olga asks, the bipedal lizard obeys without hesitation, carrying out her commands with unwavering loyalty.
Apis
In the anime-only Warship Island arc of One Piece, Luffy and his crew met a young girl named Apis, who ate the Paramecia-type devil fruit called Hiso Hiso no Mi or Whisper-Whisper Fruit. This devil fruit gave Apis the ability to telepathically communicate with animals, including dragons and sea kings.
Similar to Luffy, Apis has a lively and outgoing personality. She isn’t afraid of talking her mind and would go to great lengths just to protect someone dear to her. With her devil fruit, the animals can warn her about incoming danger and guide her away from threats before they even appear.
Aisa
It’s rare for One Piece to feature children with Haki, but Aisa of Shandia is an exception. Since birth, Aisa already had Observation Haki, otherwise known as “Mantra,” in Skypiea, which gave her an exceptional awareness of her environment and the people around her.
At first glance, Aisa looks like an ordinary young girl with cute features, but beneath the innocent appearance lies a brave child who is willing to fight Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates to defend the Shandia tribe. She uses a Burn Blade as her main weapon, which has a similar principle to Caesar Clown’s Blue Sword.
Kurozumi Tama
Befriending pirates with ease is one of Tama’s strong points in One Piece. Not only did she become good friends with Portgas D. Ace and the Straw Hat Pirates, but she even manipulated Big Mom, who had a soft spot for her.
Tama looks like a delicate and vulnerable girl, but her strong resolve to protect those she cares about gives her the courage to face dangers that others would shy away from. She also has an intriguing devil fruit ability courtesy of the Kibi Kibi no Mi, which lets her tame any animal that eats a dango she produces from her cheeks.
Kuina
It’s difficult to forget Kuina, the young girl who won every solo match she had with Roronoa Zoro in the past. She was the former owner of the Wado Ichimonji, which, as fans know, is one of the 21 Great Grade Swords before it was passed on to Zoro.
Kuina is of Shimotsuki descent, a lineage infamous for producing master swordsmen, which probably explains why she had extraordinary talent and a natural affinity for the sword. If she had survived the tragic stairs accident, she could have become a true match for Zoro, so we definitely had to add her to this list.

Colon
As the son of the legendary pirate, Scopper Gaban, Colon’s potential to become a powerful pirate like his father feels almost inevitable. He is also half-giant, which means he possesses natural superhuman strength far beyond that of ordinary children.
While Colon is nowhere near the strength of an adult giant, his physiology gives him a natural advantage in any physical confrontation. His main weapon is only a wooden sword for now, but it’s likely just a placeholder for something far greater in the future.
Jewelry Bonney
It’s hard to believe, but Jewelry Bonney has been a child all along. She is only 12 years old, yet she has already overcome incredibly tough challenges that resulted in a whopping 320 million bounty on her head. She even survived the deadly Sapphire Scales disease, which ended her mother’s life.
At such a young age, Bonney also became the captain of a renowned pirate crew on top of being named as one of the Worst Generation pirates. The Marines are constantly on her trail due to her authority over the Pacifistas. More impressively, she also has enough power to neutralize three vice admirals on her own!
That’s not all, as Bonney can even mimic the powers of Nika with her Devil Fruit ability. Don’t be fooled by her appearance at all, as Bonney is a tough contender with seemingly limitless potential that makes her more dangerous than most would expect.
