Usopp is famous for his sharpshooting and innovation. His frequent exploits against other infamous pirates and marines have given him many nicknames and aliases, such as Sogeking and God Usopp.
6 Kuro
The Two-Faced Butler Of Syrup Village

Kuro was the main antagonist of the Syrup Village Arc. He was the former captain of the Black Cat pirates before he faked his own execution for the sake of different plans. Under the guise of a butler named Klahadore, he infiltrated the household of a rich girl named Kaya, with the hopes of killing her through poison and gaining her and her family’s wealth.
During this arc, Usopp, along with Luffy and Zoro, got to Kaya’s mansion and thwarted Kuro’s plans. With this, he lets his true colors show, unleashing his deadly weapons and fighting the newly formed crew before ultimately losing. If not for Usopp’s meddling and courage to save Kaya, Kuro would have inevitably gotten all that he wanted.
5 Drophy
Mrs Merry Christmas Of Baroque Works

Drophy, who is also known as Miss Merry Christmas served as an antagonist who worked for an Organization called Baroque Works that, alongside the Warlord Crocodile, attempted to undermine the nation of Alabasta during the Alabasta Arc through subterfuge.
During the Straw Hat’s visit to Alabasta, they faced off against the deadly Baroque works who were trying to systematically undermine the country. During the Alabasta arc, Usopp and Chopper paired up to fight Drophy and her partner, Mr. 4. Drophy possessed a devil fruit that allowed her to transform into a mole and dig underground quickly, which resulted in multiple sneak attacks and evasive movement from her. Usopp used his precise sniping, utilizing explosive projectiles and other trick shots while dodging her evasive digging. The battle ended when Usopp managed to trick her into running into one of Mr. 4’s explosive baseballs, knocking her unconscious and winning the battle.
4 Chew
Arlong’s Fishman Pirate Subordinate
- First Appearance: Episode 31
During the Arlong Park Arc, there was a band of Fishmen Pirates who overtook the island where Nami grew up. Chew was a member of the Arlong Pirates and served as a minor antagonist during this arc. One of the recurring themes of this arc was how the Fishmen looked down on humans and mistreated the island residents.
During the Arlong Park arc, Usopp fought with Chew, although not directly at first. He scouted and recognized Chew’s significant strength as a Fishman and ran from him to think up a plan. Due to the greater strength of his race and their proximity to water, Usopp was heavily disadvantaged and utilized his broad arsenal to snipe him from a distance and avoid direct confrontation. Through Usopp’s witty thinking on the fly and the damage dealt from his attacks, he managed to get Chew in a weakened enough state to deal a finishing blow with his trusty hammer.
3 Perona
The Ghost Lolita Of The Moria Pirates
- First Appearance: Episode 338
Perona was a crew member of the Moria pirates that was led by the former Warlord Gecko Moria. She is known as the Ghost Princess and served as a commander for the Moria pirates, where she was an obstacle for the Straw Hats during the arc due to her problematic ghost devil fruit.
While the Straw Hat crew was split up amongst the Gecko pirates, Usopp found himself against Perona. Perona possessed negative hollows that possessed the ability to make any individual depressed, somewhat incapacitating them; this ability did not work on Usopp due to his naturally negative personality. Besides being immune to her strongest attack, he utilized his quick wit to play psychological battles against her, leveraging her fear of cockroaches while shooting with his Kabuto slingshot to keep her at bay.
2 Sugar
The Toymaker Of Dressrosa
- First Appearance: Episode 608
She served as a crucial part of the plot of the Dressrosa arc, during this arc she turned citizens of Dressrosa, as well as enemies of Doflamingo at his command. During this arc, it is shown that Sugar can also make everyone who has ever known her transformed victims forget about them completely while they are toys.
Sugar was the major piece in Doflamingo’s hold over Dressrosa. Her extremely strong devil fruit ability served as both insurance and a deterrent to those who stood against Doflamingo. Usopp battled Sugar twice during this arc and beat her on both occasions. The first encounter was almost lost as Usopp was grabbed by the nose and was about to get transformed into a toy. Due to his fear of potentially turning into a toy forever, he morphed his face out of fear, and Sugar fainted out of shock from his strange fear-filled appearance. During their second encounter, Usopp fired a special-looking projectile from a far distance, using observation of Haki for the first time, that hit Sugar and sent her into shock, giving Usopp the victory.
1 Ulti
The Powerful Older Tobiroppo Sibling
- First Appearance: Episode 923
One of the common themes of Usopp is his fighting enemies who feel like they are seemingly out of his league, after all, he's just a normal guy with no Devil fruit or haki. Ulti is one of the contenders on the list of powerful enemies he has bested. Ulti, along with her brother Page One, are two members of the Tobiroppo, an elite force of strong beast pirates that Usopp had to face during the Wano arc.
During the Wano arc, at a very crucial part of it, Usopp, along with Nami, fought Ulti and her brother; this fight showcased his super quick thinking and wit, along with his superb sharpshooting. Close to the climax battle of the arc, Usopp and Nami pair up to face the Tobiroppo duo siblings Ulti and Page One. Due to the large disparity in their strength, Usopp and Nami fled and tried to avoid a direct confrontation with the dinosaur siblings. Usopp uses his Pop Green projectiles to shoot them from a distance while he and Nami evade them. Eventually, Nami uses a thunder lance attack powered up by Zeus to incapacitate her, giving the Straw Hat duo their victory.
