Haki is an absolutely incredible ability that fans have seen quite a lot of in One Piece. While it is an incredible power that makes a massive difference in fighting, it is also a somewhat fair ability. This is to say that Haki can be awakened by just about everyone in the One Piece World, aside from the strongest type, Conqueror's Haki. Still, the other two types can take one far in the New World, and fans have already seen how much of a massive jump utilizing Haki can cause in battle. While many characters have awakened this ability, there are others who are now next in line to gain this amazing power.
One Piece: All Powers And Abilities Of Advanced Conqueror's Haki, Explained
Advanced Conqueror's Haki is one of the strongest powers wilelded by the top-tier fighters in One Piece and it grants great powers to the wielders.
Bepo
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki Types: None
Bepo is one of Law's strongest underlings and certainly a force to be reckoned with within the Heart Pirates. It can be said that Law's crew is quite underwhelming. While Law himself is quite powerful, his crew needs a massive buff. The second most important character in the crew, Bepo, is due for a power-up and this can come in the form of Haki. Bepo can, at the very least, gain Observation or Armament Haki in the final saga. Either would help him greatly in battle. The crew recently faced defeat at the hands of Blackbeard, and perhaps, if they had stronger users of Haki, this defeat could have been avoided.
Usopp
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki Types: Observation
Usopp is an individual who has already had a taste of Haki. In the Dressrosa arc of One Piece, he gained Observation Haki. However, in order for this character to excel in the series, this isn't enough. Usopp also needs Armament Haki, and surely, fans will see him excel in the Elbaf arc of One Piece. There, he will most likely gain power-ups that will take him to the next level as a sniper.

Chopper
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki Types: None
Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates, and while he doesn't need Haki as much as the others, he should still have it. In order to make Luffy the Pirate King, the Straw Hats have to be exceptional. In the crew of the Yonko, the vast majority of individuals are Haki users. Chopper certainly has his strength. However, he needs to be a user of Haki, at the very least, to deal with threats such as Logia, or other Devil Fruit users. It is essential for him to awaken Haki, and he is next in line to gain this power in the Elbaf Arc, or the subsequent ones.
Nami
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki Types: None
Nami is an individual who can be said to be in desperate need of Haki at this point in time. Nami has access to the Climatact, and recently, she even gained one of Big Mom's homies, Zeus. This makes Nami an incredibly powerful individual who can manipulate the weather at a very high level. However, Nami cannot take down high-level individuals, such as the Yonko Commanders, or even the veterans of the Yonko crew. In fact, she was only able to defeat Ulti because the latter was on her last legs already at that point. Nami needs a big power-up and this will most likely come next in the form of Haki.
One Piece: 39 Strongest Characters In The Series
These are the strongest characters to sail the seas of the One Piece world.
Franky
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki Types: None
Franky is another character who needs Haki in One Piece. Once again, fans need to keep in mind that every Yonko crew needs powerful Haki users within their ranks. Franky is no exception to this rule and he should have Haki, even if he wouldn't rely on it all that much. Franky has scientific powers and that is great for the fans to see, however, against stronger individuals, such as the Yonko Commanders, Franky would have done much better if he could actually use Haki.
Momonosuke
- Devil Fruit: Artificial Zoan Seiryu
- Haki Types: Observation
The current Shogun of the Land of Wano, Momonosuke might just be a child. However, big things are expected of him. Momo will surely be called into fighting soon enough once the Great War breaks out, and he will have to lead Wano in this war. It is paramount for him to have gained some control over his swordplay by this time, and without Haki, he's going to be useless. Momo's Dragon abilities are surely great, but if he intends to surpass Oden, as he claimed, he has to gain control over all three types of Haki eventually.
Crocodile
- Devil Fruit: Suna Suna no Mi
- Haki Types: None (Displayed)
Surprisingly, Crocodile has shown no hint of Haki usage so far in the story. Of course, this is largely down to the fact that he was a villain very early on in One Piece, but now, in the post-timeskip, he has absolutely no reason not to be able to utilize this power. Crocodile has great ambition, a great bounty, and a ferocious reputation. He should at least have access to two powerful types of Haki.
Buggy
- Devil Fruit: Bara Bara no Mi
- Haki: None
Buggy is one of the most important characters in the Final Saga of One Piece, being one of the Emperors of the Sea. Buggy isn't all that strong, but he has strong fighters all around him. This makes him an incredibly powerful figure on the seas. While Buggy is often used for comedic relief, it must be remembered that he is, first and foremost, a frontrunner in the race for the One Piece. Even if Buggy doesn't go on to become the strongest in the world, the fact is that he must be stronger than he has shown to be.
-
As such, Buggy absolutely needs Haki, possibly of all three types to back up the ambition that he has. He could simply end up being a late bloomer, yet still be a rival to the likes of red-haired Shanks. Now that he has declared his seriousness in trying to claim the One Piece, it is high time he starts training his powers more and at least gains some control over Haki.

Nico Robin
- Devil Fruit: Hana Hana no Mi
- Haki Types: None
Quite easily, the character who should be first in line to gain Haki in the next arcs of One Piece is Nico Robin. Robin is a great user of her Devil Fruit. However, she has to evolve even further. What's more, her bounty of 930 million berries needs to be backed up by something more than just a Devil Fruit ability that hasn't even been awakened yet. Robin is very strong, but she can get even stronger and fans would actually love it if she were to gain two types of Haki, those being Observation and Armament.
