One Piece: Franky's Best Outfits, Ranked

Cyborg Franky is a style icon among the Straw Hats of One Piece thanks to his unique hair and design. Here's which of his outfits stood out the most.

Even though he joined the crew right before the time skip, Brook still managed to change clothes a surprising number of times throughout their adventures, and each one of his outfits perfectly fit his job as a musician and his old-timey personality. The only question is: which one of Brook’s outfits is his best one so far?

8 Zou Outfit

He Embraced His New “Bonekichi” Persona

  • Worn In: Zou Arc

The members of the Straw Hat Pirates who arrived earlier at Zou were treated like royalty after they saved its inhabitants from Jack’s toxic gas. Brook was no exception, and, in turn, he was given some colorful and distinctive garb. The striped yellow and orange pants are something so ridiculous yet charming that only a character as extravagant as Brook could pull it off.

However, the addition of the purple puffy coat also makes him look like a king or even a respected musician, and it’s even slightly reminiscent of Prince. Since he’s a living skeleton, the canine Minks of Zou became obsessed with him and his bones, but at least he looked majestic while escaping from their constant persecution.

7 Egghead Outfit

Brook changes outfits in Egghead.
  • Worn In: Egghead Arc

Brook is the oldest member of the Straw Hat Pirates, so he was impressed more than anyone by the Future Island of Egghead. However, he still managed to fit in with this incredible outfit that made him look like an astronaut, with a glass helmet that also amusingly covered his afro.

But the biggest strength of Brook’s most recent outfit is its color combination: the yellow chosen for his coat is very pleasant to look at, and the black lines in it are carefully positioned in a way that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Overall, the Soul King looked amazing in the Egghead Arc, and he should definitely wear yellow and black clothing more often.

6 Strong World (1st Outfit)

A Relaxed Look That Became A Meme Among Fans

  • Worn In: One Piece Film: Strong World

Brook tends to wear more formal clothes in the main One Piece story, but there have been some exceptions in non-canon material, with One Piece Film: Strong World being one of the biggest examples of this occurrence. At the very beginning of this movie, Brook could be seen wearing casual attire that reflected the more relaxed parts of his personality.

One Piece: Chopper's Best Outfits, Ranked

One Piece is home to a collection of fashionable characters, but Chopper manages to stand out from the crowd with these iconic outfits.

The yellow shirt with a Japanese katakana on it looks amazing on him, but the most fascinating part is the bandanna with a flower pattern on his head since Brook doesn’t change his hairstyle very often. Nevertheless, this single accessory ties the entire outfit together, and it has cemented it as one of his most memorable looks, to the point that it has gone viral among fans on multiple occasions.

5 Uta World Outfit

Changing Music Genres With A Lot Of Style

  • Worn In: One Piece Film: Red

Since the pop star known as Uta is the central character of One Piece Film: Red, there’s no denying that this movie is themed entirely around music. This means that Brook, a legendary and seasoned musician, was right at home in this adventure and, while all of his outfits looked great, the one he wore in Uta World at the end of the film was his best one. While Brook enjoys all genres of music, he tends to favor classical music that can be played with a piano and/or a violin.

However, he embraced the Punk aesthetic of Uta World, and it’s undeniable how amazing it looks on him. The black coat, the orange bandanna on his head, and the spiky accessories already make him look surprisingly intimidating, but his new hairstyle is the cherry on top. Styling his afro in the shape of spikes was a brilliant decision, and it’s something that should be done with Brook’s character design with more frequency.

4 Tea Party Outfit

He Looks Like A Sneaky, Suave Gangster

  • Worn In: Whole Cake Island Arc

Most One Piece fans agree that Brook was the undeniable “MVP” of the Whole Cake Island Arc, and as a result of this reputation, the outfit he wore during the most important parts of the arc became one of his most memorable. When the Straw Hat Pirates infiltrated Big Mom’s Tea Party, they wore fancy clothes that helped them blend in with the mafia aesthetic of their new allies, the Fire Tank Pirates.

In Brook’s case, he wore a beautiful red and black pinstripe suit with a fashionable fedora that managed to make him look like a deadly member of the mafia, while also helping him sneak around to destroy Big Mom's portrait of Mother Carmel. This may be relatively similar to his classic outfit, but it is still distinctive enough to stand out. As a result, it fits perfectly with Brook’s usual fashion preferences, seeing as this is something that he could easily be seen wearing in other arcs.

3 Soul King Outfit

He Dressed Up Like The Worldwide Famous Rock Star That He Is

Brook performs one final concert before sailing off with his crew.
  • Worn In: Return to Sabaody Arc, Fish-Man Island Arc, and Punk Hazard Arc

Curiously enough, Brook became a famous rock star during the two-year time skip, and he eventually became known as the “Soul King.” This didn’t prevent him from returning to the Straw Hat Pirate crew to continue their adventure through the New World, but it did completely alter his appearance and sense of fashion.

A collage of three iconic outfits of Nico Robin in One Piece: Her Fish-Man Island outfit, her Enies Lobby outfit and her Raid on Onigashima outfit.
One Piece: Nico Robin's Best Outfits, Ranked

Throughout One Piece, the Straw Hats' archeologist has worn plenty of iconic outfits. Here are Nico Robin's best looks.

With this outfit, Brook looks like the talented and beloved rock star he is, and it certainly helps him stand out among the crew. He has colorful new pants with flower patterns on them and a new hat that is cleverly shaped like a crown, but he kept some of his classic design elements, seeing as he still has a black jacket and his iconic purple cane sword. This outfit represents a solid balance between the old and the new, and it proves that Brook was more than ready to leave his successful life as a rock star and face new challenges alongside his crew.

2 Original Outfit

He Wore It For More Than 50 Years And It Still Looks Great

Brook talking to Laboon and Brook writing a new song.
  • Worn In: Thriller Bark Arc, and Sabaody Archipelago Arc

It is no wonder why Eiichiro Oda didn’t even think about swapping Brook’s clothing until the time skip because his initial character design was almost flawless. After his tragic death, Brook was revived by his Devil Fruit, the Yomi Yomi no Mi, and got stuck on his ship for over fifty years. And yet, the outfit he wore all that time still looks wonderful on him, even though it slowly disintegrated.

With his elegant black suit, his charming top hat, his recognizable afro, and his deadly cane sword, it is immediately evident that Brook is a gentleman from another time. However, most of these design elements serve a double purpose, since they’re also meant to make him look similar to famous real-world musicians, like Slash, Ozzy Osbourne, and even Beethoven. It’s understandable that Brook eventually had to change clothes, but most fans would have been fine if he looked like this for the course of the entire series.

1 Raid On Onigashima Outfit

A Simple Outfit That Made Him Look Both Stylish And Powerful

Brook uses his ice powers to put out Black Maria's fire.
  • Worn In: Wano Country Arc

Most members of the Straw Hat Pirates chose to wear traditional Japanese armor or clothing during the Raid on Onigashima that took place during Act 3 of the Wano Country Arc. However, Brook went in an entirely different direction that not only differentiated him from his peers but also made him look absolutely incredible.

It is undeniable that black and white are Brook’s primary colors – since they represent his bones and his afro, so making him wear a half-black and half-white coat was a brilliant decision by Oda. But that’s not all, because his bright red cravat adds a much-needed touch of color to this excellent attire. Coupled with his classic top hat and cane sword, it's certain that Brook was one of the best-dressed characters in Onigashima that night.
