This list will contain spoilers for One Piece

As several of the Straw Hat crew members have already demonstrated, a character in the world of One Piece doesn't need a Devil Fruit to be considered strong. With that being said, these special abilities can certainly help give someone an edge in combat. Most of the Devil Fruits introduced in the series so far seem like the perfect fit for their respective users, not only complementing their fighting style but feeding into their personality, and even their hobbies.

While only a few of the Straw Hats actually possess a Devil Fruit, it's interesting to theorize what abilities are the most fitting for each of them on an individual basis, including those who already have a Devil Fruit power. Considering One Piece has now been running for over a thousand episodes and chapters, fans have been exposed to a plethora of Devil Fruits. When taking a look at all of them, these are the ones that feel like they would pair best with each of the Straw Hats for a few specific reasons.

Luffy - Mochi Mochi Fruit

Similar To Luffy's Fruit, But A Little Sweeter

  • Current User: Katakuri

In all honesty, the Zoan Model: Nika fruit, which allows Luffy's body to turn into rubber and transform into Nika himself, already feels like the perfect fruit for the quirky Straw Hat captain, but there is one other which could be an even better fit. The Mochi Mochi fruit, which Katakuri actually uses against Luffy during the intense battle on Whole Cake Island, functions similarly to Luffy's own fruit in practice.

As the name implies, the fruit allows the user to summon mochi at will, which can be used for both offense and defense in battle. It's no secret that Luffy is obsessed with food, with an especially big interest in meat, candy, and sweets. Therefore, it only makes sense that he possesses an ability that allows him to manipulate some of his favorite foods. It could also give him an unlimited amount of mochi to chow down on any time his stomach starts to grumble, which is pretty often.

Usopp - Glare Glare Fruit

This Fruit Would Take Usopp's Sniping Game To A Whole New Level

  • Current User: Viola

Usopp, the sniper of the Straw Hat crew, has managed to get by pretty well so far without possessing a Devil Fruit. He has put in more than enough time and effort to become a reliable member of the crew, one who can incapacitate enemies from afar with all kinds of weird techniques and gizmos. However, considering he usually prefers fighting at range, the Glare Glare fruit would be the perfect ability for him to acquire, considering it would make him one of the deadliest marksmen in the world.

Zoro, Usopp, Sanji
One Piece: Every Straw Hats' Biggest Weakness

While they have all come a very long way since the beginning of the adventure, every Straw Hat still possesses their own unique weakness.

As Viola explains, this fruit allows a person to see through literally anything. For example, if Usopp activated it while aiming at a target, he would be able to see their skeletal structure and even their organs, making it easy for him to aim for a weak point. Not only that, he would also be able to get a clear view of his target from more than 4,000 kilometers away. When paired with his Observation Haki, the Glare Glare fruit would make him truly unstoppable at range, as long as he can control his nerves, that is.

Nami - Clear Clear Fruit

The Cat Burglar Would Have A Much Easier Time Sneaking Around

  • Current User: Shiryu (Previously Absalom)

Having the ability to turn invisible is a skill that most pirates would kill to get their hands on, but there are a few reasons why it would be particularly useful for Nami. Considering Nami has no quarrels about stealing treasure from those who are undeserving of it, the Clear Clear fruit's ability would enable her to take anything she desired from under the enemy's nose without them even knowing.

Not only that, Nami could also use her invisibility in battle, considering she's not exactly someone who enjoys frontal confrontations. Instead, she could sneak around behind her enemies before blowing them to bits with her deadly Clima-Tact. This is just the tip of the iceberg of the many ways Nami could utilize this sneaky ability in battle.

Sanji - Chop Chop Fruit

Deadly Kicks For Fighting And Sharp Knives For Cooking

  • Current User: Daz Bones

It's remarkable that Sanji has become such an absurdly strong character in the series despite having no Devil Fruit, but since he's someone who uses his deadly kicks to overwhelm his foes, there are definitely some fruits that could have given him an advantage in the early story arcs. The biggest example of this is Daz Bone's Chop Chop fruit, which can turn any part of the host's body into a sharp blade of steel.

This would actually kill two birds with one stone for Sanji. Not only could he make his legs razor sharp to slice down anyone who stands in the Straw Hats' way, he could also turn his own hands into knives when he's cooking for the rest of the crew. Sanji may have admitted that his dream is to get his hands on Absalom's invisibility fruit, but this one honestly seems more fitting for both his combat style and personal hobby.

Zoro - Twinkle Twinkle Fruit

The Ultimate Defense For The World's Fiercest Swordsman

  • Current User: Jozu

Zoro is such a skilled swordsman that he doesn't need a Devil Fruit, which he has proven throughout the story, considering he is already well on his way to becoming the strongest sword user in all of One Piece. If he were to have a Devil Fruit, though, while there are many that would help him reach his goal faster, it's really Jozu's Twinkle Twinkle fruit that would have the biggest impact, and would make Zorro an unstoppable powerhouse.

The user of this fruit is able to turn any part of their body into diamond in mere seconds. Since diamond is more or less indestructible, it would give Zoro a solid defense to back up his offensive capabilities. The Twinkle Twinkle fruit would enable Zoro to jump into fights without having to worry about his own well-being quite as much. He would pick up barely any scratches so long as he kept the fruit activated for as long as possible.

Robin - Hollow Hollow Fruit

Robin Could Spread Her Dark Humor To Her Enemies

  • Current User: Perona

While Robin initially seems like a fun and joyful member of the crew, it doesn't take long for Luffy and the others to realize that she actually has a very dark sense of humor. Anytime the Straw Hats embark for a new island, Robin will almost immediately start thinking about all the gruesome ways that they could end up being killed during their latest adventure. Therefore, it seems fitting that a Devil Fruit that invokes negative emotions would be one that best relates to the historian's personality.

One Piece Straw Hats (1)
One Piece: Every Straw Hat Pirate's Age, Height, And Birthday

The Straw Hat Pirates are one of the youngest, most ambitious crews in One Piece. Here are the characters' ages, heights, and birthdays.

The top contender would therefore be the Hollow Hollow fruit, which is currently possessed by Perona. This fruit allows the user to shoot a barrage of ghosts, which can sap a person's positive energy, turning them into a defenseless pessimistic husk. This seems like a fruit that was destined for Robin, since it makes total sense that someone with her outlook on life would be able to utilize such an ability.

Brook - Sing Sing Fruit

Brook Could Elevate His Music To Become A True Rockstar

  • Current User: Uta

The Sing Sing fruit's ability is first shown off by Uta in the One Piece Film Red movie. The way it works is, once Uta starts to sing, everyone who can hear her wonderful melodies will have their consciousness transported to a magical virtual space, free from the pain and suffering of the real world. In the movie, Uta got pretty carried away with this ability after realizing its true potential, but it's still a fruit that would fit Brook like a glove, considering how passionate he is about creating music.

On the one hand, he could use it while sailing with the crew to help everyone escape from the anxiety and stress of their adventure for a few minutes (or hours). On the other hand, he could also deploy it to trap his enemies and prevent them from attacking while on the battlefield. It's an immensely powerful fruit that is clearly best used in the hands of a talented musician, which is why Brook would be such a great host.

Jinbe - Strong Strong Fruit

Jinbe Can Bulk Up His Fishman Karate To Become An Incredibly Strong Pirate

  • Current User: Jesus Burgess

Jinbe has been able to pull off some incredible feats throughout the series thanks to his overwhelming strength. For example, back on Whole Cake Island, Jinbe used his Fishman Karate to push Big Mom off of the Sunny when she was about to destroy it with a single slash. He was even able to hold off Who's Who for quite a while without anyone backing him up.

Jinbe's mastery and experience with Fishman Karate make him one of the deadliest hand-to-hand combatants in the series, but one fruit that would make him even more powerful is the Strong Strong fruit, which is currently owned by Jesus Burgess. Burgess has been able to tear chunks off of a mountain with his bare hands thanks to the strength granted to him by this fruit. One can only imagine just how insanely powerful Jinbe would be if he were the one to pick it up.

Franky - Magnet Magnet Fruit

Franky's Creative Potential Would Know No Doubts

  • Current User: Kid

Franky is always finding new and unique ways to modify his body, and a fruit that would make this hobby a lot easier is the Magnet Magnet fruit, which is owned by Kid. The ability itself is pretty simple: it allows the user to draw together clumps of metal to create anything they can think of. While Kid may use it to create giant rail guns and bombs, Franky could instead attach new plates of metal to his body in order to bulk up his defense.

After all, Franky is usually the one who ends up facing off against the bigger opponents, so it would be a great help if he were able to add some extra armor to help him last just a little longer during an intense fight. Of course, he would also be able to use the extra materials to conjure up all kinds of new and strange devices for Luffy and the others to gawk at, too.

Chopper - Human Human Fruit

Chopper As We Know Him Today Literally Couldn't Exist Without His Fruit

  • Current User: Chopper

Chopper is a rather strange case when compared to the rest of the crew, as he technically needs his current Devil Fruit to even exist as a character. The Human Human fruit is what allows Chopper to be more than just another average reindeer; it grants him human-like intelligence and also allows him to assume the anthropomorphic form that he takes on in the story.

As a result of this, it wouldn't really make sense for Chopper to have any other fruit, considering this one is literally perfect for allowing him to become a pirate. Sure, Chopper himself may want a fruit that makes him a little taller or stronger, but he wouldn't even be able to think about these options at all if he weren't already in possession of the Human Human fruit.
