Thanks to that, fans finally get to see which ten anime series are the most viewed on the biggest streaming platform worldwide for the year 2025.
To the surprise of some, the number one most-streamed anime on Netflix was revealed to be none other than Eiichiro Oda's magnum opus, One Piece. One Piece features 643 million hours watched by fans, which is, by far, the highest on the platform.
One Piece Beats The Likes of Demon Slayer and Naruto On The Netflix Platform
With One Piece becoming Netflix's number one most viewed series for 2025, it has beaten two other monumental anime franchises. Notably, One Piece has beaten the likes of Naruto and Demon Slayer, as well as many other anime franchises, like Pokémon. In comparison to One Piece, Naruto was only watched for 626 million hours, and Demon Slayer even less, at 598 million hours.
Naruto and Demon Slayer’s numbers definitely remain impressive, but they're still nowhere close to One Piece's watch time, which goes to show how much this pirate story has grown in popularity.
One Piece Beats Other Animes Despite An Incomplete Library And Heavy Reliance on Piracy
While One Piece is, of course, a major franchise, it is still surprising to see it dominate on legal streaming platforms like Netflix. There are a few reasons why that is the case.
